Well the mountains really look weird with my hills nearby. I'm trying to make a mountain tile. Here is a first assay that tile somewhat with itself and the hills but would rather be for a single mountain. Higher and bigger mountain would need multiple hex. I might try a sharper peak instead.

I've just committed Darth Fool's patch ( which allows units with 'leadership' ability to have an image_leading frame which is displayed when their leadership ability is used, and units with heal/cure to have an image_healing frame which is displayed when they heal.

In .7.6 the edges of a lot of the terrain are rough and generally not as nice looking. I'm guessing this is because of the image resizing that took place.

Wesnoth's current icon is rather boxy for my tastes, and it doesn't really match any of the other Crystal-SVG icons on my KDE desktop. So I stole the big W from images/misc/logo.png, resized it, and adjusted the brightness/contrast to make it brighter.
