I just discovered how to make tileable hexes in Inkscape. The method utilises the clone tile tool, and the cool thing about it is that you see a multiple hex area which updates immediately as you edit the original hex.

I'm learning the ropes on Wings 3D, and it makes very easy to sketch out ideas for castles. Here's one, with sloping embankment and bastions instead of towers (obviously, they would only be present at convex corners). It might be good for some more modern style faction.

I would like some comments on these sprite frames and how they animate. I just tonight downloaded a .GIF animator to see how my frames flowed together and discovered that what looked okay scrolling my eye down the page in paint looked terrible when actually put together :(

If you make a projectile on Gimp and have it going up and down, (Say its an arrow) can you rotate it to make it go diagonally or do you have to completely redraw it?
