Re: Wesnoth sheet music

Great, glad to hear it was useful! Let me know if there are any other of my tracks I can help shed some light on.

Re: Wesnoth sheet music

Might this help?

You're going to have to figure out exactly what instrument plays what from the track names, but I guess this is better than flying blind.

Re: Wesnoth sheet music

Does anyone else think it would be fun to write out the main theme in like 3 parts and have different people play them? We could make a Main Theme version with real instruments played by people from the forum! (Come on, I know there are a bunch of people lurking in this thread ) That would be fun, ...

Re: Wesnoth sheet music

You could use VirtualBox or some other virtualization software to run XP as a virtual machine on whatever OS you’re running. It runs on Windows, macOS and Linux and doesn’t require hardware virtualization support enabled in the BIOS and CPU (though it’s way better with it) for 32-bit guests as old ...

Re: Ambuscade sheet music

Unfortunately, West has mentioned on the forums that he doesn't read sheet music and doesn't have sheet music or midis for his pieces. Sheet music, no. I think I still have the project files though, but as these tracks were composed in an ancient version of Cubase that won't run on anything newer t...

Re: Waters of Redemption

Also, though the topic is (still) locked, I'd imagine that vultraz et al would be interested in your thoughts on this . Not sure what I could contribute with. I've been a vocal advocate of Wesnoth moving its art resources to CC in the past, so... not a day too soon I guess? All my Wesnoth tracks ar...

Waters of Redemption

Hey all, long time no see. Just wanted let you know that I've just released a musical fantasy suite (well, an orchestral concept album) called Waters of Redemption.

Sorry about stopping by only to toot my own horn like this, but I figured there might be a few people on here who might be interested.

Shadow_Walker wrote:What's the ballpark figure for track licensing? Say, if I find a good album advertised at SoundCloud, how much would composers charge me for that? Given that it would be used for a free game?
I have plenty of CC-BY licensed tracks available here. No money involved, just use them and give credit.

Re: Stem tracks released for TM, TKID, OTNM and others.

From my fb page: You know, it's funny... random self-appointed open source evangelists tend to show up on the Battle for Wesnoth forums a few times a year complaining about the lack of "editable source" for the music tracks. Which is a ridiculous notion of course, as music != executable co...

Re: Elegy

FWIW, more than three months later... I like this. Nope, it's not a typical Wesnoth tune, and it doesn't belong in mainline. But it has a very atmospheric, ambient sort of vibe to it. Definitely something I wouldn't mind listening to while pondering my next move. This is a good addition to the UMC p...

Re: Community collab! Post *any* musical ideas here!

I'm sorry. Work, family, health (mental) and other musical projects got in the way. I simply overestimated how much time and energy I had to work on something like this. I still think it's a cool idea and I'd love to do it. Only... not right now.

Re: Sonatina Symphonic Orchestra -- CC-licensed sample libra

In case you actually need help with figuring out what is wrong, please post more details i.e. what OS you're on, the specs of your machine (desktop/laptop, CPU, RAM etc). The information provided so far is not in any way useful for determining what might be the problem. All I know is that SSO works ...

Re: Sonatina Symphonic Orchestra -- CC-licensed sample libra

I still don't understand what is happening here. "Memory overdrive"? Are you saying you're running out of RAM? How much RAM do you have in your machine?

Sforzando uses disk streaming so memory usage shouldn't be overly high.
