Re: Where to download 1.11 version?

So... can you tell us when the 1.11 will probably be released, oh great and wise developers?

Re: "The fellowship of the Clay" Humans gaining ground stor

I do not know whether it is intentional or not, but I found Harriet's teleportation ability to work only in some cases, in which I could not see a pattern. If it is intentonally restricted, you probably should add a more detailed introduction, and maybe some "help" option. The Mal- prenome...

Re: Query about "Ulfserker"

Indeed. Berserkr is (according to one possible etymology) a "bear-shirt", wearing a bear fur to give himself the strength. They were semilegendary viking warriors who went into a nigh invincible battle rage, but were uncontrollable in it. Ulfr means wolf, as an weaker totem beast (though t...

Re: khalifate descriptions

query: does wesnothians use imperial units? Or how long is the distance does that "thousands of miles " mean? No. Distances are measured in hexes. (However, keep in mind that Hexes Could Be Miles Across. Or metres). In fact, the original miles were thousand passus , i.e. ca. one and a hal...

Re: Where is the number of hits-per-attack listed?

I think what are asking for the number of strikes. The damage is given as x-y, where y is what you ask for (if I understand correctly).
Example: The Spearman's spear is 7-3, meaning it attacks three times for seven damage each (if they hit).

Re: Historical Inaccuracy: Crossbows

Again, the "the discriptions are written by an biased Wesnothian"/"Orcs are more advance than commonly believed" approach might help. "What, they have super-powerul crossbows? These savages could not possibly have invented them! They must be stolen!". Somehow, I got thi...

Re: Vranca´s artwork

In 'Tree3', the 2nd and 3rd level units are quite hard to tell apart. Especially if they end up in-game, when they could both be facing the same way. Otherwise, they all look really good. I disagree. The sprites are not too similar for me. I am, but probably not any time soon as I'm busy in RL so I...

Re: Historical Inaccuracy: Crossbows

A crossbow, even in the hands of a experienced user takes a long time to reload (as compared to the relative ease of reloading a bow). Perhaps orcs use repeating crossbows of some sort? So another indication that "(all) Orcs are stupid beasts who cannot make weapons themselves!" is propag...

Re: Is replying to moderators/developpers forbidden?

I would think that this effectively means actions performed in the role of moderator/developer , as in comitting new artwork. locking a topic, or a warning about an impending lock. It does certainly not include that a word of the devs or mods automaticaly ending all discussion on topic. You can cert...

Re: The Era of Myths art project thread

I think you should keep them here! The problem still persists that to me, the torso is far too slim: The waist is more narrow than the one of the Heretic, and the upper body is a lot more narrow then even the waist. Especially considering we are talking about a heavy melee fighter, she should have a...

As mighty shadowmaster said, it would be much easier to discuss if you told us which version numbers your "beta" and "current" versions are, as most here do not understand what you mean.

Re: Beta version has better graphic?

You are probably comparing a development version to a stable version. A development version (or at least later releases of a development circle) are indeed intended to be superior to the stable release of the time, as it is a preparation to the next stable release. The names were chosen as they say ...
