Re: So... about SOPA...

It seems this wasn't Lamar Smith's only terrible idea recently. He also is sponsoring the Protecting Children From Internet Pornographers Act of 2011, which would require ISPs to keep all records of your internet history and online financial transactions for 18 months.

And then there's ACTA...

Re: JaMiT's laundry list of WML questions

I have not been able to use formulas or variables when defining a [side], specifically when setting gold= and income=. (I also had a problem trying to set moves= to a formula within [modify_unit], but I have not rechecked that under 1.9.14.) Is this intentional / what I should be seeing? Or maybe t...

Re: Random attacks

Using [switch]/[case] would probably be a lot easier when checking the variable value.

Re: Wesnoth on Desura.com! Testers needed.

A couple things: 1. Could there be an option to put the user-data in the install location? Right now it automatically puts it in Documents/My Games (not a huge deal, just personal preference). 2. I downloaded the 1.8 version before, then uninstalled and redownloaded the 1.9 version, but it's still p...

Re: Map Errors

That error usually means that wesnoth is not able to read the map for some reason (map misnamed, in the wrong location, etc). This problem has come up a lot, so a forum search would probably be very useful as well. Also, if you think you are going to have a lot of WML questions, you can (and should)...

Re: Modern Combat: Beta0.9.685 Released!

I removed your E-Mail, since otherwise some bots might get it. Wesnoth has a PM system so your E-Mail is unneeded anyway. Also something else to take into consideration is that the post before yours was made back in July.

Re: Elmor's wml questions

You shouldn't put filters inside if/then statements. Try putting the [have_unit] tag around the [filter_location] in the first example.

Re: Water Graphics in 1.9/1.10

While one of the main problems is definitely that its very hard to distinguish shallow water from deep water and forded water from shallow water (especially with fog of war on) my personal main issue is still the ugle crusty edges: So what exactly does that mean? Do you want completely smooth edges...

Re: Elmor's wml questions

You could use [store_unit] then an if/then statement to check the gender of the unit, or use a [filter] with whatever gender you want to check for.

Re: Elmor's wml questions

Units have the gender= key, so yes.
