Re: Legend of the Invincibles

Post a save in between scenarios and I think I can copy her into it for you.

Re: Legend of the Invincibles

Absorption is not meant to stack - you should get the best one. That said, there is a general bug about abilities. You tend to get the version of an ability from AMLAs instead of equipment. Between different equipment, you can sometimes change which one you get based on order of equipping.

Re: Legend of the Invincibles

What version of wesnoth and LotI are you using?
I don't think a replay is any help for fixing it. At best a reply is harder to use than a save. Just upload a save where the next time she attacks with it she disappears.

Re: Legend of the Invincibles

Have you tried going back to a save in between scenarios (the no turn number save)? Most of the LotI stuff automatically updates from your save file to current LotI source when you load such a save.

Re: dabber's questions: logging explanation

I solved my unit modification issue using a "unit placed" event.

Where in the documentation web pages is logging explained? Domains, levels, files, etc. I've pieced together enough knowledge to find my debug outputs in a file, but I have no understanding.

Re: Legend of the Invincibles

The main character's normal (and soul eater) AMLAs cost less experience than any AMLA from a book or legacy. Generally you don't want to pick anything that isn't specific to Efraim.

Re: The Beautiful Child

I think I last tried this campaign right after you created it, and I haven't gone back since. I finally did and I like it a little too much (ask my wife). I found the beginning too hard. After dying repeatedly in the first couple scenarios, I hacked a save file to give myself some armour, and then I...

Re: Legend of the Invincibles

@MelficeBelmont, I have the save game of the start of the next scenario, so I can tell you exactly how I killed Argan recently. Efraim Flaming Sword Gloomy Amulet and Gloomy Cloak Sinister Lunacy ring (charge) Dark Helm and Dark Gloves of Destruction He has only a few melee AMLAs (just the redeem we...

Re: Legend of the Invincibles

@Spirit_of_Currents, I think you can totally play with just the main characters. You won't really be able to explore every map, or grab every kill/item, and some enemies will be extra hard, but I'm pretty sure its doable. I know I've cleared multiple levels with just them. I know my Efraim has 90% k...

Re: dabber's questions: object on unit

I solved the leader modification problem with a turn 1 event that does all the work. That is much easier long term, because now each scenario needs less editing. It also lets me work on any units spawned in the [side] definition automatically.

Re: dabber's questions: object on unit

preload event doesn't work. A lua error shows up, and its definitely from using the variable. I am using 1.14.9 (which reminds me, I should upgrade to 14.14), so maybe that works in 1.15.x?

Re: dabber's questions: object on unit

Many leaders are created in the side definitions. How do I set a variable in the scenario file and then use that variable to modify the leader in the side definition? Even if I set the variable in a prestart event, I get errors trying to access it in the side definition.

Re: dabber's questions: object on unit

I had a really bad couple of days with reading my own code. Percentage increase wasn't working because I put the letter "n" in the variable name when I meant "h", and couldn't seem to see that I mistyped it.

Re: dabber's questions: last breath

I'm pretty sure that the direct action [modify_unit] cannot be placed inside [unit] just like that. That showed me my error. I meant to write [modifications] and instead I wrote [modify_unit] Version that seems to do what I want below. Now I have to mess with another part - getting the percentage i...

Re: dabber's questions: last breath

I want to upgrade the damage and hitpoints of every enemy unit. I did this on recruit successfully, but I cannot make creating a unit directly do it. What am I missing? I tried doing it with an object, basically replacing [advancement] below with [object] and a location filter, but that didn't work ...
