Re: AI recruitment query

#6006

Apparently, there is actually a wildcard character already: the empty string.

Re: errors: what do all these many ERRors mean

are all of these addon code problems or wesnoth code problems or both All of those error messages are generated by addons. It is likely that some of them are coming from the addon LotI Modification (or maybe it's from having both LotI Modification and Legend of the Invincibles installed at the same...

Re: First time making complex terrain graphics, pls help.

That still doesn't sound right - what is "scenario/"? Is that just supposed to represent the name of your add-on? Also, is it "Dam.png" (uppercase first letter) or "dam.png" (lowercase)? It may not matter on Windows, but if the name does not match exactly you may end up...

Re: First time making complex terrain graphics, pls help.

terrain/Dam.png should probably just be Dam.png.

I'm not sure about the rest of it...

Re: "wml guide" and textbooks

was thinking that this "wml guide" would show how to do interesting or creative things or very indepth things with "wml" - since that is what a guide is ... if those codes in that "_main" is all you need to make a basic campaign, then at least a basic campaign should b...

Do you have an addon named RPS Units installed? Try uninstalling that.

Re: The best operating system for Wesnoth

First, I would recommend playing Wesnoth on a desktop operating system (Windows, Linux, macOS) rather than a mobile OS. Although there are Android and iOS ports of Wesnoth, neither of them is an official release and both of them are currently old and outdated. Among desktop operating systems, in mos...

Re: Ravana's Multiplayer Works

Thing with typo is that since my language does not use ' symbol, I usually avoid it in casual context - so I treat it just as programming-language-only symbol which has no meaning outside source code. When writing formally I cant use short forms anyways. Actually it would be the ’ symbol (unicode c...

Re: Legend of the Invincibles

So chapter 3 has a relatively narrow range of years to attribute. May use it as a base point to try to get approximate years for other chapters of part I, considering how many years is said to pass after the previous one in the first scenario of a chapter. About chapter 2 I can say that It was befo...

Re: run animation frames

Thanks! I see the attack and defend animation frames for the bowman there, but not the run frames. What am I missing? Are you able to link to one of the specific run frames? The frames for the run animation should be there, assuming it actually exists... Are you sure that the bowman does, in fact, ...

Re: the hammer of thursagan

Thank you, I will have to go back to the winter pass. I barely made it through that part and didn't have time to search the villages. But if you're playing on version 1.16, the mage is no longer there... It's only older versions (Wesnoth 1.14 or earlier) that have the mage in one of the villages.

Re: Help with creating sides

I would find it helpful if the wiki explained either when tests can be ordered to improve performance (i.e. the example above should include [filter_wml] if omitting that negates the performance boost) or removes this performance note entirely if it's no longer (ever was?) relevant. I agree that th...
