You might try giving your user account write permission for that directory or running configure/make/make install with 'sudo'. I'm guessing it's a permissions problem. Note the double slash in /home/myusername//usr/local/games/wesnoth-dev/ That's the problem, not permissions (I did chmod -R a+x). E...
