Re: artisticdude's art, critique welcome
Lighting may need work. I'm curious to see how the rest of the unit looks. Will it be a two-legs type freak?

Re: graphisme development for Era or Reconquest (solar saurians)
anyway, I think the shape of the shadow is not very good. Is not ? Probably too small. I recommend you leave the shadow creation till you've got the sprite finished. Otherwise you may have to redraw later. It looks like you may have used lots of intermediary colours (e.g. shades of yellow). Use few...

Re: Elendil's Art-Please Critique
Bravo. That's large enough to not look over the top. There are thick black lines around level 4's feet and legs. The sword which looks to me to be projecting forward a fair bit has no shadow. I think his right ear is a single pixel too high and that his left should be a little visible. Its a great s...

The shadow edge look anti-aliased. http://wiki.wesnoth.org/Creating_Shadows_Under_Units

^^ Seconded.
Re: Twolegs.
+As the part of its head curves away from the viewer I think it needs to get darker. Or perhaps if its meant to a be a ridge or bump emphasise it?

And hmm, what do you mean secondary color? The mainline mudcrawler is one colored, at least. Take your pick. Some orange. Some green. Some grey. Currently you got differently bright shades of a very similar brown. The join between the section at the you've moved to the left and right is still quite...

Re: Zero's art. I don't have anything to say here.
And looking at it I'm amazed how much I've improved over my time at Wesnoth. Like, seriously. Look at that. I could definitely not do that when I first started spriting. So there. An old sprite revitalized using the same pallete, but way better skills. And I'm still getting better, and one day I'll...

Re: Elendil's Art-Please Critique
Nice work. That was some ace frankifisation + orig. draw that turned out a great unit+levels. It's more epic when you level a unit into one that has a different stance. I'm no warrior myself admitted but I think I would dislocate my arms (probably my back) every time I swung that sword. I think its ...

It looks like he wears crushed velvet. I'm not sure if it's intentional. I think you've done a great base- He looks well proportioned if a little vacant. In case you haven't have a read of kitty's tutorial . Eyes are not at the exactly same level. It might be picky but it's the first thing you go to...

I think your pink thingies are really really nice. Well slimy which you were aiming for right. I like the unique creeps in Wesnoth e.g. the eystalk. No-one says the eyestalks are boring for having a spherical head! In fact your bread-head's are completely unique and are precisely the sort of deep se...

Its all flat/in profile. The UFO dome is a good example of something that doesn't look as flat. Try to improve on depth away from the viewer.

Re: E. Angellus5 There is something strange going on between the hand and the (odd golden glow near the) swords shaft. As already said:Sword needs a re-draw His right hand looks like a small metal claw. Missing a few skin pixels. His left arm pops out from under cloak at a odd angle and is probably ...
