As i said once before, it think it shouldn't be tied to movement left. My image of this comes from Woses: they stomp you in combat, and after doing it, they take your place, literally.

Hmmm, i may need to check this. I've been searching for simple, real-like grit rendering in a game. It's the only thing keeping me from an MMO with sugar clothing (it can be well done, but ALL the time?).

I think the orc could be adapted with only a stronger features and back, seeing how he is jut a bowman.

If the boardgame art shift project gets done, then there could be a lighter Wesnoth. Heck it could even be put inside the game and get a butoon to toggle the art. Of course, i demand epic poses for this (think napoleonic and viking).
