Re: Thread of the N3T clan
TheMasterOfBattle has now attained a new title: Agent N3T.
This is because of his great skill in... well, I think he knows where I'm going with the title.
He's probably the most skilled observer in the lobby... (wink)

Welcome, PROTEUS. (Upon your profession in faith in... ... jk)
In a second you'll be added to the list.
(For Sapient: if any other players attempt to join in, I will be gone until Monday. Retreats are nice.)

922: In the mindset of an orcish grunt, you enter a nursing home... in the process you beat up an older looking man, go to court, and claim that he is your enemy, Delfador.

Re: New map!
You should probably delete all mountains next to villages where dwarf advantage can get abusive. I tried mentioning this on the server.

Dual-Terrain Bridge-over-shallow-water, bridge-over-swamp, and bridge-over-deep-water: (grassland and shallow water, grassland and swamp, grassland and deepwater) Best movement, best defense. Swamp-ruin and sunken-ruin: (castle and swamp, castle and shallow water) Best movement, best defense. River...

Re: New map!
Gathering information from your last post, it seems that to you, having a map that is fun to play, for you and your friend is more important than overall balance. I will say this- you did a very good job of... making those areas really, really, really powerful for those two factions in their respect...

Re: Asymmetric 5p FFA "Oblikamets"
I think I made a comment on this map before you posted it here, on the server, about it lacking enough terrain. (Forgive me if I'm wrong, here. :P ) I think you have gone to the complete polar opposite, and actually choked loyalists out of any clear pathways. Try looking at some of the mainline maps...

Re: 6P Clashing Survival
I hate to say this, but whenever somebody tends to post a map without a screenshot I tend to ignore it. Natural tendency, I guess.

Re: 1v1 Replays! (THE ARCHIVE)
F8 Binds... (Northerners) vs oesis (Loyalists) GO GOBLIN STRATEGY!!! Interesting matchup on Fallenstar Lake. I made an initial village grab at the start of the game to force all his units towards the main front, and I snuck another wolf behind on the bottom of the screen to steal 2 villages, again f...

Re: 12x26 Winter Map -- Alpine Coldfront -- (my first post here)
Traffic flow needs some serious working on the map- you have edited it numerous times, but there are still many unnecessary chokepoints on the map. Remove a good deal of snow, a good deal of forests, a good deal of mountains, a good deal of hills, a good deal of impassable mountains, and replace the...

Re: Weather effects to help balance
Perhaps I'm overstating in the above post, then... ... However, I will expand on a new thought- I think such a feature would add a new element to cartography that isn't intended... I've always thought that terrain often reflects the weather in the region, and that it is awkward to incorporate...

Re: Weather effects to help balance
I think it is up to the cartographer himself whether it is necessary for this feature to be implemented- to me, I never thought it was an issue. Impassable terrain has always been the best way to deal with fliers as far as I've known. From a realism point of view, there is one problem with this feat...

Re: Ending Of The Ice Age (2p map)
Dwarves would so have it easy on this map. Once they start losing then they just go into the caves and never get killed. There are only 2 villages in the cave- units would not be able to sufficiently heal well enough to hold in the cave for an extended period of time, and would be severely outnumbe...

Re: map-specific thoughts for playing 1v1 mp Northerners
On a map like Den of Onis, 1 scout is all you need if you manage to get a quick grunt to grab the village in your side cave. I don't really have time to think about the other maps at the moment- instead I'm finishing wrapping up presents, being the procrastinator I am. :P The other bonus of grunts i...

Re: map-specific thoughts for playing 1v1 mp Northerners
The idea with grunts here is this: Grunts are cheap. If you buy them on the first recruit, you'll have gold left for utility units once you find out what faction your opponent is. So with 6 recruit slots, recruiting the suggested 2 wolves, archer, and 3 grunts, you have spent 84g and will lose a few...
