Re: [in general]Should Backstab be tweaked ?
If we also considere that only mainline units with backstab (Thief and Shadow lines) are far from be overpowered, what reason could there be to change it? because gets problematic in UMC, and im not sure if can be tweaked the way i have suggested, basically is overpowering when slapped on anything ...

Awesome portrait! What's up with his eyes, though? Seems like he has no pupils, is being possessed or something

Re: female trolls?
The next question ought to be "how are troll females portrayed?" though. Because other races have females and it's not necessarily readily obvious or apparent. I'm thinking about saurians, for instances: they have females, but they are otherwise pretty much like the males as far as looks a...

Re: What are the worst units in the game
I'd have gone with bowman or fencer, personally.

Re: [mainline]Elvish Ranger/Avenger & "backstab"
Without his ambush ability he's just a rather a generic strong-ranged-average-melee unit, like MasterBowman,Dragonguard,Slurbow... (almost any 3rd lvl ranged attacker), he was more of a harrasment specialist, maybe worse at holding the enemy in frontal assault but invaluable at hunting down single ...

Re: New Default Factions
I think that the fact that they are available to anyone as an add-on is already pretty great diversity-wise. I really don't know what's with everybody wanting to have stuff mainlined? It's not like non-mainline is considered worthless crap or something it's jsut... it's an add-on, not the core game....

Re: LordBob's random stuff : wraith
Nice work, as always, good job! Looking at that last troll, I get the feeling he looks a bit shy and/or sad. Or maybe guilty. I think it has to do with the way he looks at you, a bit sideways, and his head being tucked into his shoulders a bit. And/or maybe his mouth and brow, I don't know. It might...

Re: Campaigns order
Besides, if you played the tutorial, you are a beginner. And if you are a beginner, you don't want to tackle HttT as your first campaign, even though it's the game's flagship campaign. There are shorter and more beginner-friendly campaigns you'd want to play first...

Re: Help me find the name of a scenario i used to play
Just for the records, it's very very unlikely anyone removed it, unless it contained unappropriate material et was copyright infringement... What is much more likely is you used to play it on an older version of Wesnoth, and while it's still probably on that version's add-on server, the author is lo...

Re: Beta testers needed: Endless Sky, a space exploration ga
Works so far on OS X Yosemite, native build. It really needs a good tutorial and some gameplay adjustments (like how I never really know where I am going to jump, how to select planets to land, etc.). Also, I really can't stand the drifting, it's a real pain... But that's not what you wanted to know...

Re: Fire Emblem mod(question)
I think Wesnoth's general policy about this kind of things is: you may as well do whatever you wish but you are to be held responsible for it if anything happens. The Battle for Wesnoth project won't take any part in it and as thus won't accept that you post such material on the add-ons server. I'm ...

Re: Centaur and Kentauride Faction
I haven't read everything, but judging from that last image, my gut feeling is that your faction will be too versatile. Have I counted 10 base units? Loyalists are considered very versatile and cover most of the ground with 6. Also, it seems to have everything: a tank, snipers (magicians), ranged at...

Re: Campaign Creation Team
There will always be UMC authors who hate 1 particular part of the campaign-creation process, be it coding, artwork, maps, story, music, or anything else. If you don't want to do the coding (arguably the most difficult/important part of the process) Personally I'd argue that the most difficult part...

Re: Campaign Creation Team
Another quick tip (but I guess you could have thought of that yourself?). You don't need to start your stuff from scratch or learn from the wiki from the ground up. Open an add-on or campaign or whatever that does what you'd want to do, copy it and work form that. Copy existing scenario files and mo...

Re: Campaign Creation Team
Yeah, I don't want to be an ass about it, but good luck with that. Basically, you DO realise that you're asking someone to do all the grunt work for you, while you take care of the (arguably) easier and fun part of conception. I mean, why would anyone want to work on your (unknown to us, but probabl...
