Sure, the berserker amulet is as absurdly overpowered as an item can be. But in the context of the scenario, it works very well, and adds to the strategy. How well your team uses that item once they get it has a large influence over how well you do. Regardless of the items's presence, so far only Ka...

Not that I can find. If one could be added I would be grateful. With a slow connection, "Get Add-Ons" tends to give a "Remote Host Disconnected" error before a substantial download like an era can be finished.

To me, the biggest problem with Nagas in the Era is that they are everywhere. Notherners, Steppe Orcs, Outlaws, and Chaos all use them. Too much duplication is bad, especially to someone that has never really liked the fact that in mainline, Loyalists and Rebels share the mage ;) A related problem i...

Temuchin: the Storm Wight has definate possibilities. It does fit the faction, and fill the need. If we were to make use of the Yuki-ona idea, we could base a new unit on the concept, but we should change the name, since I don't think its a good idea to mix Japanese mythology with an Elvish faction....

JW: Thanks. I haven't looked at Era of Myths in quite some time. I've adopted the Extended Era as a place to make contributions for some reason. Maybe after the Holy changes in the 1.3 branch have a chance to settle down, as for myself I doubt that issue has been completely resolved, I can give Era ...

The Sidhe - do they need help?

I have been holding some discussions with players recently regarding the Sidhe. There is a consensus developing that the faction is lacking. There is also a consensus that the existing units of the faction are well-conceived, and have a flavorful, coherent theme. The theme of the faction is one of m...

We ran a couple of test games yesterday, and took note of the issues that came up. The first game was run under "challenge" difficulty, the second on "normal". Participating were myself, jb, Mythological and KriMzON. All the comments apply to the first map. 1. In the message that...

Re: Some dialog to get us started

If there's no other leader in the fort, we could have an alternative dialogue by one of the leaders on the road (that they helped in Helmsfar, but are now there to help - but maybe they shouldn't be talking directly to the human leader in the fort because they're still some distance away - or reall...

Some dialog to get us started

Here's a 1st try at some dialog. I have named some people and places, but these names are very tentative, and easily changed. I've explained as much as I could, without the talking going on forever.... I have also made the assumption that the Elf leader goes with the wardens, and that the human lead...

plot questions

How does the neutrality of the Orcs in the 2nd scenario relate to the fact that they were already hostile in the 1st scenario? Does the Goblin leader being "strangely in league with the weather" mean he is somehow related to whoever is Behind It All, and would we need to know who that is t...

A couple of prayers/suggestions. First, I think it would be great if temples/lotus came back. I enjoyed using them, and it gave peasants something viable to do besides incessant cash farming. A peasant swarm can produce absurd income, so getting players to spend money planting lotus and using peasan...

It depends how much gold you have, and what you're recall list looks like. I think you are going to have to have somewhere around 7 to 8 hundred gold at the start of the scenario in order to sucessfully complete it. It takes some thought, but I found that some scenarios in the game don't have to be ...

Has anybody tried HttT under 1.3.1 yet? I am a longtime fan of attempting no-reloads campaigns, so I was overly familiar with how the AI plays in the initial scenarios. Seems to me that the 1.3.1 AI is a lot less predictable, making the campaign significantly harder.

Speaking of 1.3, what are we going to do about the-damage-type-still- known-as-holy-but-likely-to-be-changed-to-some-other-name? If an Elvish Sorceress now does "holy" damage, should a Dark Elf Wizard? And all the "holy" resistances will need to be looked at...
