Re: OpenSource 3D RogueLike CellShaded SoULFU

Well one may say that it does not help but also do not stop doing a derivative of the game. But pint 1 really do hinders me if i want do a derivative. 1. The title screen (WSPLASH), main menu (WMAIN), and "Be Nice" window (WMONEY) must remain intact and unchanged Especially i don't like th...

Re: Draw by repitition on Isar's!

There would be 2 ways for the northie to win. Either try with assasin so that the helaing from village stops due to the poison. Or get a lvl3 himself. ( This is: attack with say 2 whelps, both get 3 xp, evben if one dies use 2 new whelps to attack and so on ) The 3xp will sum up as time goes by and ...

5. The NICEWARE system must remain working and enforced - no "work
arounds" may be made. In order to access all character classes,
the player must type "I SWEAR I DID SOMETHING NICE" one time per
session.

Re: Re:

Of course you will have to fight at bad TOD. You said this yourself: you HAVE TO hold ALL your cities (with exception of water village perhaps). but you only need to hold (and cycle), not to fight/strike back. Don't mistake "fight" with attack. I never told you have to attack at bad TOD. B...

Re:

Always respect time of day. If your team is chaotic then you must attack at night to win, this is the most basic strategy in wesnoth and is No different in Isar's. It is! Because you can't help of being forced into battle at unfavourable TOD. At larger maps you can at least avoid some fighting by m...

Or the same heart, not with, but instead of orb.
Don't forget the orb is there for some reason. It indicates wether a unit already moved and such.

Re: Are the Undead disadvantaged? unbalanced? destined to lose?

This whole discussion is a proof of the good balancing of the undead. "It's hard to bring down a wose" -> Should it be easy to win over rebels? "Knalgans have a hard time killing ghosts" -> Should Knalgans win easy over Undead? Any faction has some way to counter any other factio...

Re: Defense of the Goblin II - A new version, a new world!

Hey Baufo I was messing around with the numbers, it doesn't matter 3v3, peasants were stronger than even one skeleton with drain early on. Even with 10% health + 10, 6 gold per damage, and 38 per strike still. I set peasants to 22 per damage, 42 per health and I think 38 or 42 per strike. They alwa...

Re: What should I do if I want to create a 0$ game?

Main difference is that Python is a scripting language while C++ is a "real" programming language which you do have to compile. This means: C++ is ( should be ) faster in execution once compiled and since this should be the number one choice if you are planning on a larger project. Python ...
