Re: Roll 2 Dodge: Wesnoth Forums Edition
Oh. Minecraft. Should have thought of that, what with Bigkahuna's comment on the antecedent page. I guess my character, like me, has played 4Xs but not Minecraft, and they were thus the closest fit he could think of. Punching Trees = Minecraft. Chopping Trees, instantaneously converting them into p...

Re: Humble Indie Bundle 3
I'm REALLY enjoying VVVVVV, mostly for the sadistic puzzles which are really cool once you solve them. My first time around, I comleted the game with ~1500 deaths and all 20 trinkets :P They have a forum where you can download a slew of player-made levels, so a lot of replay value there. I'm also en...

Same as my last reply - my "development computer" with all the necessary programs and files currently has no internet. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Re: Unit ID and unit name question
Also, you might have multiple units with same name. To be able to distinguish them (from WML), the id is useful. Also, undead units by default have no name at all, IIRC. This is true. Names can be customized at all times. For undead/monster units, names are optional and not needed. For all other un...

Re: New_style_of_campaign (NSOC)
I think what Wendek means is... How will the storyline EVER work? If you play the enemies that Mehir is fighting and happen to *win* at any one scenario, Mehir would be dead and the story would NOT continue from there. Unless you want yourself to TRY and die, stop yourself from killing Mehir, or sto...

(though I heavily dislike the "no-counter-attack" when the enemy got it Inferno - you have a counter-counter-attack? Isn't that rather redundant? Though I expected to see the Abyss... did anyone ever consider a sequel? Inferno & Co. are working on a sequel IIRC, though not necessarily...

Re: Abandoned Campaigns - Need Maintainers - Open to Anyone
The Ruby of Fire (unshielded) gradually corrupted the bearer. Held within the Sceptre, the corruption continued, but was blocked by a filigree of white magic infused into the gold lining surrounding the ruby. Making an "alternate" history of the Fall is difficult, as I and most others are ...

Re: Osama Bin Laden is Dead
I rejoice that justice prevails and I rejoice that Osama bin Laden won't be able to hurt any more people. I also regret that he died before ever turning from his wickedness. Those two sentiments are not a contradiction. However people are not emphasizing the latter sentiment because it would seem t...

Re: New_style_of_campaign (NSOC)
Have you asked Inferno8 if you can actually use his campaign? I'd start there. EDIT: My bad, didn't see that. Anyway, Inferno's campaign was created and balanced for the summoners and not the enemy. The enemy, when human-controlled, would probably be vastly overpowered, as the summoner's strength in...

Re: The Humble Frozenbyte Bundle
It should be noted that (apparently all) of the games have serious problems with Intel graphics. Yeah, I noticed this. Fail on my part, as I should've checked. However, I still feel Humble should've mentioned this... On the last two bundles all but one or two of the games (out of all 11) worked fin...

Re: New [scenario_metadata] plans - volunteers needed
Multiplayer campaigns are carefully balanced gold and difficulty wise according to the number of players... SP campaigns are made for a single player, so how would this be balanced correctly? Or am I misunderstanding something and the whole point is not to balance but to make multi-player capability...
