Is everyone playing this on 1.1.1? Are the new objectives making it easier and less confusing? I'm playing on 1.0.2. The comments about broken campaigns in 1.1.1 have dissuaded me from 'upgrading'. (That and replaying Sceptre of Fire - are savefiles compatible?) I take it that this scenario has bee...

I apologise for my tone. I have appreciated your consistently polite and constructive presence in this forum and, as such, you encourage me to do likewise. Let me redraft my thoughts on this topic: The original idea proposer, while not 'owning' the idea, would, nonetheless, be expected to have certa...

Am I mistaken in my perception that most people here use windowed? If not, then why not make that default? wait..... ok, i found this thread talking it up http://www.wesnoth.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=3596 but there's no apparent follow-up. This survey would seem to provide ample grounds for refresh...

Has this suggestion been deemed unworthwhile? Do you really want to improve the manual or is it actually considered complete? I note that nothing has happened on this front for the past couple of weeks. I would be happy to offer further suggestions on improving the manual but would prefer to know th...

Anyone else find it bothersome when a thread they post in gets moved to a section they cannot post it? Like this thread. http://www.wesnoth.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=10048 I kinda would like to continue discussing topics that are deemed signficant enough to warrant special attention. :? But maybe i...

Well starting out with about 200 gold I don't feel that I have a rat's fart's chance of blowing this one away. Just not enough lance fodder. I can stretch it out through save-file abuse but that's hardly right. Meh. I'll probably work it out eventually - silly me has been killing the Green Lord off ...

I rarely see this unit because I always pick Deathblade to avoid getting Draugs. I usually pick one Revenant as an anchor for any defensive lines I need to throw up, then concentrate on Deathblades for my assault forces. Which seems to prove the point that it is a worthless upgrade - delete it or b...

Seconded. Would anyone like to offer some strategy hints? At the moment my view of this scenario is that it is impossible to protect all your 'key' (that is, game over, thanks for playing) units from a charging lancer all the time. They move faster than you, there is no significant defensive terrain...

The most likely problem seems like a lack of higher level units. The remedy for that is, unfortunately, to go back to an earlier save and concentrate on levelling up units. Failing that you would need to pick your battles carefully (because the princess has generally higher quality units than your l...

The Wesnoth Manual includes this information. Notwithstanding that, I've suggested that the documentation could be improved in another thread. For our benefit I hope those with the power to make things happen will run with it.

Re: new version of The Lost General is not cool
3. Proper suspense, which relies on a differential between what the player, characters, and author know is (essentially) impossible to create in the medium of Wesnoth campaigns. This is true because the characters and player necessarily know the same things, so there can be no knowledge differentia...

I had always intended to post this at gna but the purpose of my post here had been to check whether it was already posted there before adding another bug to the list.
I guess from the responses people haven't heard of it.

As for the level being the same before: I sure don't remember being completely toasted immediately the last time I played it in 1.0. I wonder how far into the room I have to be to trigger the plot dialogue? This time I was quite far into the room, like 2 hexes away from the Death Knight. Maybe last...
