Re: My new sountrack for Wesnoth
I didn't find the sustain at 1:00 problematic; I thought it gave a very nice contrast, somewhat like when a film stops the music and plays in slow motion for some important event in a battle. I did find the 6 seconds or so of drum following to be overly repetitious though. I will answer to the quest...

Re: Let's Rewrite Descriptions!
Wolf Wolves are predatory canines that are encountered frequently in the wilderness. Quick, tough, and able to survive almost anywhere, a wolf alone is enough to maim or kill civilians and untrained soldiers with ease. Their tendency to travel in packs and attack in an organized manner is what make...

Re: good orcs ?
hi. sometimes i wonder, if there are any books or movies, where the orcs are the good ones. do you know one ? a possible plot could be about orcs, that decided not to eat little babies anymore, but live normal and peaceful lifes like the humans, and then they suffer from discrimination by the peopl...

Re: Sire's Scenarios
These scenarios are broken for me on Linux because the directory in the map paths is specified as sires_scenarios instead of Sires_Scenarios . This breaks the scenarios on case-sensitive OSes such as Linux. Other than that, I'd say that Woodcutters is much too difficult on Easy; it felt far too easy...

Re: Wesnoth 1.13.4
just from looking at this page: https://github.com/wesnoth/wesnoth/commits/master i can say that there are at least 7 people who made commits to the changes to wesnoth in the last 20 days: zookeeper, aquileia, Wedge009, loonycyborg, gfgtdf, CelticMinstrel, Vultraz. Another way to measure this is th...

Plot twist: there is an on-going redesign of the Add-ons interface.Aldarisvet wrote: To say short: status quo is insufficient. In the situation of poor interface of the add-ons server
Edit: I just now noticed that zookeeper already mentioned that here, but based on the WIP I've seen I'm fairly excited for it.

Re: Selection criteria for UMC Pack Project
That sounds bad, in this case. This "Campaign Pack" would seem to aggravate the problem, because now LotI, IftU, and Rough Life[*] will be elevated and everything else will be shoved further down into obscurity. Oddly enough, A Rough Life has not done well in the linked poll. However, alt...

Re: [POLL] What user made campaigns you like most?
A Rough Life — Very polished campaign with some interesting twists and the all-critical playability Fate of a Princess — Interesting story spiced up with a few custom mechanics Altaz Mariners — Good light RPG take on a campaign Talentless Mage — Very well done parody but quite difficult Grnk the Mi...

Re: Let's Rewrite Descriptions!
The Land of the Dead is implementation detail. The crux of it is that spirits are always summoned, never naturally arising. Your spoilered text seems to imply the exact opposite. What you said is essentially that the spirits of the dead go to the Land of the Dead, unless they are summoned or bound....

Re: Let's Rewrite Descriptions!
Saurian Ambusher Original: Saurians are light on their feet, and able at navigating terrain that often confounds their enemies. When this natural mobility is combined with experience, strength, and proper equipment, their warriors can become particularly threatening in battle — if only because they...

Re: Let's Rewrite Descriptions!
I haven't played DiD, but in Delfador's Memoirs, he brings ghosts (and, I think also ghouls) back from some sort of "land of the dead" place. Now, I didn't finish the campaign, so I might've missed some big reveal later, but to me this seems like a case of ghosts that came into existence ...

Re: The North Wind (1.12 Port of SP Campaign)
Uploaded v0.0.6. No new scenarios yet, but I fixed a long-standing bug: Deoran's level 3 unit cfg didn't exist, causing a crash if you leveled Deoran up.

Re: The Amaranthine Stone 1.0.5 - SP Campaign For 1.12.2
While working on my campaign project I discovered an issue in your _main.cfg: the [binary_path] is not inside the #ifdef CAMPAIGN block. This isn't always an issue, but can lead to unintentional art overrides between add-ons. In this case, I noticed that a story background was being overridden in Th...
