Re: Art for Tales of the Setting Sun

Awesome. I think the arms are perfect. The chest is a bit big. But that might be workout, because he is a cool conscript!
Keep up the good work!

Re: Celtic Minstrel's Art Progress/Wishlist Thread

If you look at the shaman: There is defence 2 standing a little shy. That might be a good base stand for initiate. There is heal2. That might be a good stand for a better/stronger shaman. I think the upper right corner is cool for status icons. But anyway i am just happy somebody trying to do someth...

Re: Celtic Minstrel's Art Progress/Wishlist Thread

Nice efforts. I played the first scenario and was impressed. Many great ideas implemented! Here it is about unit graphics. So I give you my five cent. Overall you do a great job. I hope I can voice some crits now. I would like the priestress with a darker green coat. Maybe you find a way for keeping...

Re: LightSetting; Saturation

I think this is absolutely true. You can change the settings for red, green and blue level. However what you need in addition is saturation. Maybe called hue? Basically make a picture grey-scale if set to 0 and over saturated when set to 255. I hope somebody important is getting your idea. Good luck!

Re: A New Order art

In that case I would like to sponsor the portrait of Yahyazad. I will send you 60 Zloty by Paypal. I think your artist is quit capable. He just needs same guiding on Wesnoth style. If you check the files of WTactics you can see a learning curve there too. It is about using outlines and less contrast...

Re: A New Order art

I just doubled the code for the elvish houses. But I have no idea how to make user made terrain. It should be possible to place an image on a given layer and a given location, even if it is multihex. I have no idea why it is so difficult. Maybe doofus can help. After placing the layer will cause the...

Re: Strategic map terrain -large scale map

Hmm, I am still on 1.5/1.6. There is a wooden bridge in 1.10 too. It is darker brown now. Maybe the macro has been renamed. Maybe Lipk can help. He seems to be cool with the new terrain code.

Strategic map terrain -large scale map

I did some experiments with tiles derived from Wesnoth official maps. The key idea is that roads and river use the logic of the wooden bridge. Therefore the endings are only visible extensions. They are overlays. Cities (village) and villages are overlays to. There can only be a village a road or a ...

Re: 1.9/1.10 SP Campaign: Tales of the Setting Sun

Hi just played and got hooked. Nice ideas. What was the workers charm good for? Are you getting any workers favor? Typing the magic word at the tavern scenario does not really fly for me. May be pull down option answers might be cool. The weapon proficiency is only counting. Not working in my opinio...

Re: Art for Tales of the Setting Sun

Great art! There is a tool to bend patterns to make them look more like natural cloth. In gimp 2.8 it is called cubicle transformation. It would work great for shoulders and hips. Process is: first bend a piece of pattern, than cut it in the shape you need it. Extremely useful. I had trouble seeing ...

Re: A New Order.

One more thought in addition to the pm: You added music. This is very nice. However I do believe it would be beneficial if you split it up in a separate download. So you have 2 downloads 35 MB each and the music could be used by others more easily. If people have bandwidth constrains, or you make an...

Re: WTactics: Original-art-give-back

Well thanks for this amazing art. I did notice that you have more on your own webside. There is that mermaid oracle in example. Without the face paint (you have that on your side) it could be a really cool level 0 mermaid to give the mermen brawler same company. I saw two elf's made by Kitty for you...

Re: Idea: public commission rates for Wesnoth artists?

72x72 image is simple. even I can do that. Layering and placing for bigger picture causing headache. Anyway it was just an example coming to my mind.

Is there an option to get an artist to voice an opinion, too?

Re: Idea: public commission rates for Wesnoth artists?

Finally somebody likes to discuss the original idea too. It is not the only flaw. There are more. Would you dare to ask approved artists for their commission fees? Would you be able to find 10 people for a joint commission? Would you be able to get approval from Wesnoth, that the piece could be incl...
