Re: If you will move to Wesnoth, Where would you choose to live

I guess that's where my campaign comes in. As of now, the standard human army uses spearmen as rank-and-file and archers + cavalry to support them. The Guardian Order expands upon this by adding crossbowmen and fielding snipers(enhanced crossbowmen) to a small degree. Fencing was improved upon so th...

Well, yeah, definately. That's one way of doing things. In the end though, you're still collecting data. Its only a matter of whether its quantitative or qualitative  . And I didn't say anything about your knowledge in the field of writing, so please don't be offended. I was just giving Jacque...

Re: Combat Tactics - Modern Wesnoth 'era'

A motorcycle is a nice idea... But how do you navigate in a thick jungle/forest with a motorcycle? A vehicle cannot think like a horse... unless it's imbued with some strong and complex magic or something... Or, unless it is fitted with an extremely complex AI system with certain mechanical implemen...

Re: If you will move to Wesnoth, Where would you choose to live

A very interesting notion... I'd want to live either in Wesmere or other Elven-inhabited areas. You get to practice magic, you get fresh air, and decent neighbours to talk to. Perfect. The way I see it, if there's no computers and science, then magic would have to replace all that and Wesmere would ...

Re: 1.6 Campaign: A Rough Life - version 1.0.99

Although you must pay heed to your audience- what kind of people they are and everything. In other words, practice discretion. For example, if say 1% of your audience cannot understand what you wrote, then there's nothing wrong with your work but instead that 1% of people should do a little soul-sea...

Re: Guardian Order 0.0.4+ dev thread

It's working now? Great! By the way I've uploaded version 0.0.3h. I hope that won't set you back to square one :lol2: . I think I better stop talking about that :D . Anyway, I've read through your entire post and I do agree with some of your points. For example, I do agree that my dialogues are rath...

Re: Reverse Spriting

I think shortening the neck helped immensely. There's plenty of improvement. I went from thinking that this little saurian's leaning a little too far forward in a reverse-limbo fashion to being on the fence about this issue regarding your sprite... I guess its good now... Though you might want to li...

Re: Quietus' revival artwork thread

I love it :). Its very well done. Alot better than what I've been able to do so far... Dragon.png So what are you going to do with that? Are you making a portrait or a sprite or something :) ? It looks like it has great potential. :) EDIT: Oh dear are people shunning this thread because of my horren...

Re: Reverse Spriting

I think its nice, but he might be leaning too far forward... Other than that, I have no qualms with this. It looks good really, don't beat yourself up.

Re: Accidental music contributor...

Ah I see... I can understand. I mean, we wouldn't want Wesnoth to be just a giant Frankenstein right? Shiver me timbers, it'd remind me of Evony Online :lol2:. Hence, I don't think I'd want to grab music from other place. I guess in a way, I knew this right from the beginning. :) Thanks for clarifyi...

Re: Over the Northern Mountains (Cold :P)

It reminds me of... Scotland rebelling against England  . And... Of the high seas :lol2: . I'm hearing it by opening 1.7.4 directory... So now I have a picture of Scottish Highlanders on ships fighting against the English XD. Nothing about the Northern Mountains :D . Still, the music's great.

Re: Guardian Order 0.0.4+ dev thread

Okay I think I know what's wrong. I'm just going to put two and two together. The problem might be that I'm using @ instead of ~ for the directories. As @ no longer works from 1.7.4 onwards, players who use 1.7.4 cannot run my campaign. I assume you, Velensk, is using 1.7.4. You know, I didn't know ...

Re: Combat Tactics - Modern Wesnoth 'era'

I like the notes you prepared. Very interesting read :). And I wish you the best of luck for your project. I can imagine the Drakes and Saurians to form a very interesting army, one that relys heavily on one of the world's best air force with their ground forces surpassing the standard of our own re...

Re: Guardian Order 0.0.4+ dev thread

Oh dear, my knowledge of WML is really outdated  . Alright, this problem is fixed and hopefully, it'd eliminate all the troubles that some people, including Velensk, are facing when they tried to play my campaign. :) Haha, its version 0.0.3g now. That's 7 versions in 12 hours XD. Not that mos...
