older stuff resurrection
Hello to all, a small suggestion. I'd like to have an "Extras" scenario perhaps with all the old and removed maps from mainline campaigns, updated for v1.2.x This way, we won't miss out on the old stuff in our frenzy to "update" all the time. Perhaps also an online viewable archi...

class action lawsuit...
If anyone is interested, I'm sure the EFF would let us use a lawyer to represent all Wesnoth developers/players in a class-action lawsuit against Viacom for "severe and irreperable damage to reputation" and "blatent disregard for proper copyright attribution" among other things. ...

Quoted from the FAQ If you are behind a firewall you may not be able to connect to the campaign server. In this case try to download the campaign directly from the campaign server through the web interface at http://wolff.to/campaigns/list.html. If you know how to change your firewall settings, then...

what we do? O_o
You know what you do? Read the descriptions and download the campaigns, then PLAY THEM and see which ones you like, either that or find me a file-hosting service that won't auto-delete for inactivity, or if someone could donate some space on an FTP server....whatever. I'll gladly re-upload it but si...

thanks
Thanks to everyone for the ideas/suggestions/responses. I shall make note of them when I'm busy hacking away at the code to fudge an approximate substitution to what I have in mind, fulfilling one or more of those three things that I've mentioned in the beginning of this thread regarding allied help...

Refuse Help of Allies in Campaigns
Hello. Short version: 1-Refuse help of allies not under your control (remove/disable them, but keep the main leader so the campaign doesn't break, perhaps disabling the allied ability to recruit), as an option in the mainline campaigns. 2-Bonus gold to keep alive allied leaders, either protecting th...

oops...O_O
Sorry! I didn't realize I was going off-topic. I thought you meant the speed of the downloads on the campaign server, etc. Perhaps donations would definately help, and would be better then resorting to advertising. There is another, although dubious option. On the official campaign server, for those...

wow
Hello everyone! I'm so happy that I could help out people! ^_^ If there are other tasks that I can assist in, I'll do my best. Right now I'll be bugtesting the campaigns that have been released for v1.2.1 and seeing which ones work well and which error out or are incompatible. Its a pretty long proc...

Wesnoth Add-Ons easy download
Like many people, while I am really sick of waiting on large files downloaded via the in-game interface, I do love the web interface because it mitigates that problem altogether. However there's no option currently for those who just wanna download everything in one go. So here are some links for do...

BitTorrent
Its a fairly simple idea, even has MD5 hashes for the geeks around here. JUST USE BITTORRENT! As for the in-game browser, the files downloaded could be in .7z format (which is open-source) and more importantly it can be integrated into Wesnoth so that Wesnoth can extract them on-the-fly when needed ...

Wesnoth Icon File
Hello to all, I've had some wierd problems in WinXP SP2 where after exiting an RPG that was made with RPG Maker 2K, it corrupted the Wesnoth icon on my desktop and it didn't show up at all, it was just a standard "no specified icon" image. To solve this problem, I dug through the forums an...

thanks
Thanks for the feedback! ^^;; I know it took awhile but I have replied. I'm not sure what Sot-whatever is. I'm not good with abbreviations except for HttT (which is obvious). I'll put some notes in the respective threads now. EDIT: I've added a link to this thread in the Northern Rebirth thread. Yea...
