Re: Orc Portrait Series

The only thing that I could mention on the last assasin portrait is that the knives that he has on his left hand (right on the picture) doesn't seem to be held by the hand. but that they are placed under it. (impressions or it has something to do with the lightsource?) Note that the knife on the oth...

Re: Era of Magic v0.7.7 2nd birthday!

Yeah both are better now, the posture change on the arms of the fanatic looks more natural than the previous attempt (and his pose is more neutral than the old one which is also good) I like the improvement you have made on your units after all this time. and I'm curious to see the next pieces of ar...

Yeah, that one.

Talking about the direwolf and the new art.

Because I'm enjoying greatly the work is being done and I wanted to give a big props to all those artists that are contributing their time with pixel art. I miss a few ones that went missing throught the years but the ones that stay here are doing an amazing work. Starting from the new drakes and co...

Re: New Sea Orc

I tought the tube is usually attached to the mouth not on the eyes (tought it may be the model I have which is rather old) and I'm not sure if having the tube and the sword on the left of the image would be ok, the eyes would focus more on that part of the sprite since the sword and the tube catch m...

Re: Kraken Concept Art

The last sketch gives an impression of sadness (due how the eyes are placed) Also, the problem with changing the pose from down and right perspective to the one in the sketch is that the size perception looks strange (it is bigger on not?) atm my impression would be that the unit is shorter. even to...

Re: Kraken Concept Art

The behemot idea looks awesome, in that sketch it looks more menacing that the cuttlefish you have drawed (due to how you drawed the eyes?) and I think its a better way to use a transition rather than Kraken (due the kraken being an octopod that has a different body build) Also, I suppose it would b...

Re: Cuttlefish sprite redesign

The blocking is looking good. :D Still I would want to express something. Note that it shouldn't influence you, only I'm curious about why you choosed that way to the death animation. While useful on water surfaces (were this critter will be mostly seen since I heard its confined to water terrain du...

Re: the flame of warmth

Could some of those little flames be used on the pillager torch? I don't know how it would look, but it seems like it can be an improvement at least on the standing animation part. It looks awesome, but as other mentioned it seems a bit small compared to what people could expect. I tought you would ...

Re: I was wondering if I could request some help...

The newlord1 looks balanced enough "composition wise" as an unit, dunno what do you intend to use for (since it isn't armored enough) but for a specific hero unit (lvl 1) would do nicely. (especially if you changed him a bit more from the normal thunderer (different hair style/color?) The ...

Re: The Arathropiae Faction (Caution! Insects right ahead!)

Having at level 3 a 3-20 attack is breaking the RIPBL o whatever is called, since even if it would deal more damage, the number of strikes gets reduced. (and there isn't at least a path that doesn't do that) The only way would be to have previous level have the 3 attacks, or simply have 5-10 or 4-15...

Re: C&C for seige equipment sprite(s)

The perspective is not correct, trace a line (imaginary or not) between the skeleton legs and you will notice that your batering ram orientation isn't the same as the skeleton one.

Re: Cuttlefish sprite redesign

Maybe you could just recolor this version and give it claws or something. Directly from the wikipedia. Skin Cuttlefish are sometimes referred to as the chameleon of the sea because of their remarkable ability to rapidly alter their skin color at will. Cuttlefish change color and light polarity to c...

Re: Descent into Darkness Campaign: Giant Rat Revision

The Tail in B looks more natural than in A.

But the eye covering thing looks really weird. I suppose is better that it does both at the same time or only one. and have a frame in between the hand covering the eyes.

Re: Some sketches

I like the aspect you have given to the cuttlefish. From the version 2 and 3, I'll choose version 2 for a few reasons. First, since its true pixelart, the compression would be better reduced (less colors used) which is always a good thing. Second, the highlight on the v3 disrupt the nice skin colora...
