(1) Medium, 1.1.7 Difficulty? (2) 8. Neither orc nor undead are easy pickings... the terrain works against you all the time, too. Objectives? (3) Clear. Kill two hygienically challenged foes. Check. Dialogue? (4) It's ok. Major challenge? (5) Two of them. First, unkillable assassins who seem to have...

As for cavalry and woses: the cavalry has a 40 % impact resistance... can one want more? 30% vs. blade... if the opponent does not have enough archers, the cavarly can be a great asset. I think it is so overlooked because neither RoW not HttT allow the player to recruit them. While they do significa...

Maybe a third upgrade option should be added to the horseman: a mounted standard bearer, giving leadership where it is needed.
As for the lancer: why exactly can't it advance?

So. Done playing the original dark hordes, and offering my $0.02 worth. Scenario 1: besieging the Ogre's castle is good fun. I'd add some interesting encounter, perhaps with a human scout (spearman?), or a storyline event. Scenario 2: undead vs. undead battles are notoriously tedious. the terrain ma...

you know, what I missed in HttT was that Konrad could recruit only on human unit, the horseman, and the Knight in the last level. The Test of the Clans would be much more playable (and much less loadable) if you could get a few cheap, humble, utilitarian spearmen. Elvish spearman, perchance? Other t...

I'd like to add that the humble thief can be of use against the orky badness - he can aid you well because he is strong when they are, and even by day, his backstab hurts. Especially against assassins, his strikes do 13-3 or so by night, with double backstab a sure kill, plus, they can plug any hex ...

My favourite have to be all the mages due to cuteness and sheer versatility, as well as the humble spearman, especially due to what cool stuff he can turn into.

The least favourite is the footpad, who couldn't kill his own lunch even if it was a burger.

Dark Hordes Part 2

Just finished Dark hordes part 1, guided Gwitli to lichdom, and now the question is open: are Dark Hordes part 2 in the making, or already done, or not planned at all? I'd like to lay my skeletal paws on them...

As for the AMLA, they are okay, I'd just alter the values for the various units - for example a Soulless needs some 80 or 100 exp to gain those extra 3 hp... hardly worth it, and unlikely to boot.

(I'd also like to see Walking Corpses and Goblins have more advancements.. they're soo cute :P )

I actually quit playing the campaign because of this level. Was too pissed, to be honest, to play on. Why? I may sound grumpy, but having enemies appear where they were not before, charging out of the darkness by night, and killing units that, according to the knowledge you can possess, should be sa...

The randomness of the game is a major factor - you cannot plan effectively. When at a crucial moment your mage decides to miss with all attacks, or your knight gets pummeled while charging, despite having 60 or 70 % to hit.. that is the time where you grind your teeth and load. So: either the AI sho...

1, 1.1.2 medium 2, 9. Annoying. With so many level 2 skirmishers around, and no reasonable terrain, it's almost impossible to cover vulnerable units... that Mage of Light who takes forever to level will not survive the attack of two saurians, which means load. 3, Intellegible. 4, The teasing about b...

1, normal, 1.1.2 2, 3, beat back the undead even at night, without loading. 3, totally unclear. I thought something interesting might be in the tombs, and stumbled upon the queen the second morning, which is.. turn... 8? well, as I had a Silver Mage, a Great Mage and a Mage of Light, she was toast. ...
