Waiting for sub, option
Sometimes someone drops, but players don't want to save, and reload from the game waiting for a sub (or original player to come back) What if there was a option to put in a command that would cause the game to show as waiting for sub. It could further indicate whether the side needing to be subbed, ...

Re: Announcing Elvish Pillager's Popular Demand Era!
AFAIK, she means download required for anyone other then host. Which I'm told largely means no new graphics. Which can make for a more boring Era then it would be with new graphics, but I understand the reason, I think. So that people can casually join in, thus more likely to join in, right? Perhaps...

Re: Conquest 2.0 - on 1.8 server
Ghosts are too nice, that is specters and ghost calvary. Yes specters are slightly slower then their knight counterparts, but they have 50 def in many locations where mounts have 40%. They can also travel over other areas that allow them 50% where mounts would have even less and over water too, yes ...

Chance to kill percentage influenced by drain and slow?
Is the CTK percentage shown, known to be reasonably accurate?
Does the CTK take into account the drain attack of units? If so, is it just as accurate as without drain? Same two questions in regards to slow attacks.

Giving Knalgan's thugs back.
I have been told that Knalgans lost thugs to balance them with undead. I assert that undead have a advantage against knalgans even with thugs. That even with thugs as a option, knalgan players still have alot of reason to make other unit types, but thugs provide a balance against undead that is need...

Re: What happened to thugs?
Well, with knalgan alliance lacking healers and fire/arcane, ghosts and gouls can have a field day with them. Especially since knalgan units like are so slow, if you make dwarvish thunderers, the vaulted counter to ghosts (that even then still aren't all that effective.) those units are one of those...

Re: wesnoth 1.8.0 font problem
To the original poster of this thread, are you sure your not talking about 1.81? The font in 1.80 was fine for me, but having freshly installed 1.81,(uninstalling 1.80 first) the font looks like that now.

You only even need a password if you use the exact same name as that on the forum. So maybe your name is different then that on the forum?

Re: The 1.8 Mp Lobby
I compiled the patched version too. I released it as a zip with only the files needed and two text files for instructions (Italian and English). This link should be useful for those ones that already have installed wesnoth 1.8.0 in their own windows system. The zip file is about 3.5mb Note: follow ...

Re: What happened to thugs?
I would say undead have a advantage against the knalgan alliance, since that faction lacks any kind of fire or arcane damage, which makes their ghost unit especially useful. If someone spams thugs, you spam ghosts and dark adepts.

Re: Game remembering settings, password, scroll bar issue
What threads in the user forum? I did a search on "vacant slots" for that forum and came up with only 4 topics, none of which apply.
There is a box that says next to it "save password to preferences (clear text)" But checking that box doesn't cause it to remember the password.

Game remembering settings, password, scroll bar issue
It would be nice if the game remembered the settings you choose for different things last time you were on, and used them again. There could be a option to have it forget settings, or possibly instead a option to have X setting always on. Case in point, in the lobby there is a option to see only gam...

What happened to thugs?
It use to be that knalgan alliance had a unit called thug, or something like that. A melee only unit with 4 or so good impact hits. But now when I play that faction, I don't see it as a option to recruit. Someone told me you need to choose a particular leader to get it as a option? This sounded unli...

Re: Mainline Campaign: Under the Burning Suns
I think this idea, population limit would be perfect for the whole UTBS campaign, don't you think so? Might that be used? Without extra graphical user interface this idea is very nontransparent to the player. Right, and a display showing available recruits is integral to the idea. Further on in the...
