Re: My "best units" awards.
Best fighter: dwarvish fighter. Two strong melee attacks (blade and impact), good health, can have healthy trait. Best ranged: dwarvish thunderer. I am lucky, and, after all, like devastating attacks and snipers. Best tank: dwarvish guardsman. Steadfast, good health and pierce damage. Best scout: gr...

Re: The Questions that Have no answers.... yet.
In Tolkien's legendarium, elves and dwarves were not enemies at first. King Thingol had business with dwarves peacefully, Curufin didn't like dwarves but had business. Thingol's Menegroth and Finrod's Nargothrond were wrought by dwarves. Dwarves gave Finrod the Nauglamir. It all started when Thingol...

Re: The Origin of (Wesnoth) Species, or: Half-Breeds in Wesn
Half-breeds are possible. For example Beren Ecthelion and Luthien Tinuviel had a child. He was literally half-elven all his life. Tuor and Idril's child was half-elven. Eärendil and Elwing's children could choose. But, as Tolkien wrote, half elven is not a seperate race.

Re: XVII Century Project : Eastern Europe at War (EEaW)
Chill dude. Noone is blaming anyone. Just wanted to suggest 'Polish-Lithuanian union'. About girls: not being in the city and stuff too much so can't tell about Lithuanians. But Polish girls are really amazing

Re: XVII Century Project : Eastern Europe at War (EEaW)
Haven't played much. I really like the idea and what you have done. But Lithuanian-Polish Commionwealth race name 'Poles', with all due respect, is irritating my patriotic feelings. Where are the Lithuanians gone in the race name?

Re: The Golden Age
The lv4 melee bear rider looks great! Not sure about the helmet of lv4 ranged. Still cool! Since as far as I understood, Golden Age is like a set of all graphically good units and the factions themselves don't have to be perfectly balanced, all four dwarvish riders could join the club. I mean bear, ...

I found this old goat rider sprite by Turin: http://forum.wesnoth.org/download/file.php?id=18237 I cut the black background: http://up.picr.de/26561312ix.png Maybe you could try to give it animation and add it? It's quality looks really good, only a weapon is needed. Back with my id...

Re: The Golden Age
For quite some time I was considering a dwarvish unit
Dwarvish tamer -> ram/mountain goat rider -> ram/goat charriot (with a mechanical crossbow or sim.)
-> boar rider -> heavy boar rider

Re: The Golden Age
Since I am totally into dwarves and hardly anything else, I will only consider them. I am a Tolkien fan, so be warned. Silmarillion check. Children of Hurin check. Unfinished yales check. Hardcore XD I always liked dwarves, but by dwarves I mean Tolkeanean dwarves. Like delvers-miners-smiths-fighter...

Re: LOTR campaign
Hi guys. Since lotr and hobbit didn't go through, anyone knows who/what company owns the licenses for the silmarillion? Yours Durin P.S. Dear Ernestas, Just like you, I am both a huge fan of video games and The Lord of the Rings. I’ve had a look at www.wesnoth.org, and I can tell that you and the re...

Re: LOTR campaign
The reply will hopefully come tomorrow. If we get a positive answer, the works will start. Else, I will consider what conditions and stuff they offer. I will try to reason with them then. Though there is quite a chance they won't even consider the request and just reject it. I think it would be over...
