Re: Healing Terrains

I usually make such terrains with a place_image and a turn event. Caveat is that they do not appear as special hexes on the minimap. Not sure the fountain would be the best choice though. Seems a bit too urban to me, so they would fit well in a place where a house (village) would also fit. Great Tr...

Re: Wesnoth 1.17.25

I have to wonder whether any other new terrains have been added in this update, such as a healing water fountain like the one discussed in my thread. Just wondering. File a Feature Request for the healing fountain terrain in the Wesnoth GitHub Repository to get it tracked. Normally things posted in...

Re: Wesnoth 1.17.25

Nice to see progress here. I'll check out the Mac version whenever it's ready! Also, I noticed that the post says a new version of the windmill was included, while the changelog doesn't mention it. So, having recently posted a poll in the Multiplayer forum asking if people wanted a new terrain and g...

Re: Temuchin Khan's maps

Plus, I wanted to take advatage of some of the new terrains in 1.17 branch. Funny thing. When I said that, the new terrains I was interested in were bluff and gulch and ruined cave wall. But the new terrain I've actually been getting the most use out of is rocky sands. Very helpful for improving de...

Re: Healing Terrains

FWIW I had a similar thought and repurposed ruined village terrain so it only provided shelter (defense and healing) but no economic benefits (no income or unit support). Let me know if this would be of use to you (apologies if I am slow to reply, am presently away from home). Cheers! -- Spannerbag...

Healing Terrains

Sometimes, while making maps, I have used an oasis to replace a village because I found it useful to have healing at that location, but not income. But oases, of course, are desert-specific, so that strategy seems a little weird sometimes. So, it might be nice to have some other type of healing terr...

Re: Temuchin Khan's maps

That's probably true. Unfortunately, so far I have not figured out how to do that! Since they needed to be placed in an addon to work I made one quickly. Might as well upload that. Just copied another map pack and used the scenario file from merkwuerdigeliebe. So it's got the same teams as that. : ...

Re: Temuchin Khan's maps

Boy, I just realized I gotta download them here. Silly me, waiting for the add-on. Will try them out ASAP. I think such intricately designed maps would be more accessible and get more play counts if downloaded as a published addon. Making a map pack should not take long. That's probably true. Unfor...

Re: Temuchin Khan's maps

So, been a while since I posted in this thread. Mistakenly deleting the would-be Mars map took the wind out of my sails, plus I've been pretty busy the last few years. Lately, though, I've looking at the Wesnoth Redux map and it feels a little too small. I've been working on a slightly enlarged vers...

Debugged, ported and uploaded for 1.14/16 (1.12 also debugged).
Thank you! Great to have this back!
