Re: Yes
if a player does not attack = no threat Human player is not recruiting new units -> harvesting gold -> does this mean (s)he is threat to AI or not? Should AI reinforce borders or concentrate agains the "One Enemy". Human player is grouping units... is this against "The One" or t...

Yes
you are right. So, I enhance the strategic thinking algorithm. Each AI player tries to calculate the threat each player poses to stop itself from winning. If a player is very powerful = big threat If a player that is not considered a threat attacks (aka backstab) = big threat if a player does not at...

Tactic or strategic thinking?
Notice that this is probably only applicable when playing a multiplayer game, not campaigns. I was playing a game with 2 computer oponenets and one of the computers won at the end. But when the winning AI player had like 90% of all units in the game, the other AI was still attacking me. If a human w...

1. A double elimination tourney 2. A season, where everyone plays everyone else if possible, then a playoff at the end(usually a single elimination tourney) A third alternative is to let each player play the same scenario and see who get the best result. A fourth alternative is to in the first roun...

Isn't it time for a Wesnoth tournament? I would really like to participate in that! Imagine players around the world playing two player scenarios, multiplayer scenarios, and finaly, the player that has won the most (how is that defined?) is declared to be the world champion? In two player scenarios ...

Corrupt save files in 0.8.3
I just upgraded to 0.8.3 from 0.8.2 to play some more on Heir_to_the_throne, but my save file is reported to be corrupt.
Is there a fix for this or will I have to start all over again?

If you expect every convenience-feature to be perfect, don't. Remember, if it's possible to do something manually, there's usually an advantage in doing so. I like to play with 9 players on a HUGH map and I think we have a different view on computer games. I don't think spending 5 hours of manual l...
in other words, courses should be applied to units that are in the way of other units before they are applied to anything else? Or do you want them to be applied to the same unit multiple times? Also, I don't see why 'move all' should be a button- why not just use courses and improve the pathfindin...
I think he wants a pathfinding algorithm that takes into account that your units can be in the way.... Well, that would be great too, but the original idea was, oh, I'll illustrate it. Three (think about this scaling to 100 units) units, and they move in this order (A,B,C) and they are placed like ...
