Re: Question on Wesnoth Background
Oh oh. That bad? It (most likely) conflicts with Shadow Master's campaign "Invasion from the Unknown" where "Eloh" apparently turns out to be a mortal (albeit ridiculously powerful) elven mage called Elynia. Then again Elynia looks nothing like the false Elohs faced in UtbS and ...

Re: Gwiti Ha'atel sprites
The Ancient Lich already looks like a skeleton, how much more inhuman does a former human have to look? I mean, he's already dead, so odds are the only way his number of appendages is going is down.
Meanwhile, I have now a revised base frame and a defence frame for Demilich:

Re: Gwiti Ha'atel sprites
I had actually planned to base the Dread Lich off the Draug - put the "dread" back in "dread lich", however ambitious removing the axe and turning staff into shield would be. Somehow the ancient lich looked less scary than the normal lich to me. Though as a placeholder, if anyone...

Re: Undead campaign: Descent into Darkness
The coloring for the point you must be referring to was intentional; it's a minor spoiler about the plot of IftU, so I didn't want it revealed instantly.

Re: Undead campaign: Descent into Darkness
Malin's portrayal in DiD certainly doesn't start off insane enough to explain all his actions; the idea's meant to be that by delving into necromancy he's losing his sanity. It could well be that actually, Drogan is more than a commander of the guard, and does indeed have the authority to banish Mal...

Re: Gwiti Ha'atel sprites
More Frankenrecolouring has produced iteration 1 of the base sprite of the Demilich. I'd have such a hard time doing this if young Ha'atel wasn't so clearly derived from the normal Lich line.

Re: Gwiti Ha'atel sprites
And now, at long last (well, pretty long judging by my usual rate of Frankenrecoloring) the Deathmaster is completed with these magic sprites!

Re: Undead campaign: Descent into Darkness
Espreon, while I see where you're coming from, that's a little unfair; having the intelligence to think of and suggest improvements and having the WML knowledge to implement them are two different things. That said, you can't expect the dedicated developers to make sweeping changes - they have bette...

Re: Giving appropriate names to Computer player leaders?
Could you code such a generator as to stick [CPU] at the beginning or end of a computer player's randomly generated name e.g. "Gweddry [CPU]"? Thematic-ness gained, without losing the ability to insta-identify a computer player...

Re: Gwiti Ha'atel sprites
Rather than hold back any steps to look more impressive, here's the defence frame for the Deathmaster. Magic animation coming, then it's on to the Demilich's base frame. Who votes I should skip straight to the base for Dread Lich after I have Demilich's base frame done? eDIT: OOOPS! Forgot about Gwi...

Re: Woodmouse's sprites
Maybe if you recoloured more of the edited Iron Mauler's armour. The main difference between L3 HI and L1 HI is the gold armour, so if you don't boost the size, then you could make the breastplate gold as well, or make it all brighter gold, or incorporate the team colour into the helmet, or... or......

Re: Undead campaign: Descent into Darkness
Hmmm... "Gods of Darkness, how did it come to this? My own sister determined on my death. Nothing has gone right since blah blah blah. Now the only being who still wants to keep me alive is a necromancer." That speech doesn't put him in the bipolar camp; that speech goes to show he's huma...

Re: Gwiti Ha'atel sprites
Sadly, I don't think I'll ever get round to making a Demolition Lich. The DEMI-Lich, however, will be coming when the Deathmaster's all done. Given that it's an easier Frankenstein/recolour than the Initiate was, this shouldn't be a long time. Meanwhile, Gwiti and Nati now have a melee attack! When'...

Re: The Yokai
Is there a story reason why the Feyborn haven't got a melee attack? Not saying they necessarily should, but it's not like they've been training so long and hard that they're as exhausted and feeble as a Dark Adept. Certainly the portrait doesn't exactly look sleep-deprived. Which is not to say I don...

Re: Gwiti Ha'atel sprites
OK, I (hopefully) sorted out those two pixels, and darkened the bits of the hood that aren't highlights. Now I'm dreading trying to get the same level of quality for the melee attack sprites, given there aren't premade Dark Adept hoods for me to recolour and tape on during melee.
