Sources of Inspiration: - Frank Herbert's Dune , from which the War of Assassins, Imperial family name, and Al-Riid arose - Sherwood Smith's Inda trilogy, from which Vanrid got his name. - J.R.R. Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings , whose beautiful Elven tongue I try to emulate in Niduin, Am'zindaron, ...

How do I test it to see if it works? For one, you can make a copy of the original file, either as a different filetype or with a different name. Then make your unit file overwrite the original. If you're afraid of screwing up the game, you could make a new unit file, then boot up a local game and t...

Well, look at unit.cfg files and see how they're put together. Make changes only to the parts that come after an equals sign to match your statistics. User-made eras are easier for this if they don't use mainline units because they tend to be missing some features that mainline units don't have, but...

http://www.wesnoth.org/wiki/BuildingUnits I'd also recommend downloading either Extended Era, Era of Myths, or Imperial Era from the campaign server. Many of the new units from those eras aren't nearly as filled with code as the mainline era (example: animation is something you probably don't need t...

The Nobles' Duty Nobles gather 3 issues from their subjects that they have to put into law in order to gain prestige. (A noble is also allowed 1 issue for material gain which can substitute one of the 3.) Each noble presents his or her idea, and the six nobles vote on which one they think they shoul...

Cloak And Dagger (and some other weapons) There is also another power that does not operate in the public eye. This 7th power is, in turn, divided into 6 parts: they are the Cloaked Guilds of Tien-ipsut. The nobles are forbidden any military presence in the imperial city, and so any warfare must be ...

Of Diplomacy and Espionage: The War of Assassins
This proposal attempts to be both a single-player and multi-player scenario, meaning that there will be an attempt to create an artificial pseudo-intelligence that can simulate a player, or at least a political entity. The Premise (with a capital "P") You are a noble in the court of the Em...

Alphabetization of Multiplayer List
After 26 players (one for each letter of the English alphabet?), the alphabetization resets. So if you have 40 players in say the in-game list, the first 26 to join are alphabetized, then the next 14 are alphabetized following the first list. Is this intentional? If so, it looks messy (though still ...

Borked Remove Add-On Feature
Between 1.3.14 and 1.3.15a, a change resulted in the non-removal of the userdata/data/campaign folder .cfg file and the folder that contained the add-on files. The files within the add-on folder are still successfully removed, however.
