Re: Ancient Lich Development
But they can use drake skulls as helmets. So I guess that my lich is maybe not Mainline-accepted, but it isn't unaccepted, I think... :hmm: I'll upload the lich here if you are interested (I had to come up with some name) This thread is for the development of Mainline Ancient Liches only... I think...

Re: Ancient Lich Development
But a lich could in theory switch his bones as i have read in this post to become more, in this case, drake-like. But is he/she bound to his/her original skull? Yes. Ancient Liches are artisans of necromantic power, consummate masters of the dark magics they wield. It can take centuries of study an...

Re: What new terrain would be Great for your UMC?
[1.9.x stuff] Not really a new terrain... But I have always wondered why tropical forest can't combine with hills (combining not only graphics, but also terrain type: hills/forest)... :hmm: There is a particular reason for this "discrimination"? :P Other non-possible mixes (which are sensi...

Re: Campaign art - Sceptre of Fire
It's a pity we lose his marvelous shoes... :D You've done a great job in ageing Haldric II (but by now we are used to awesomeness in your works  ). I concur something strange is happening with his arm, but I think is his right the more problematic (for the position, surely possible but not ver...

Re: Sceptre of Fire during the "Eastern Invasion"'s events
Good points have been raised here. I have patched EI so Konrad is present and has the Sceptre in the EI siege scenarios. This shouldn't even really be a balance issue as the player will already have had access to high-level mages; to make players a little more careful I have made death of the King a...

Re: Sceptre of Fire during the "Eastern Invasion"'s events
Maybe we should add some lines in order to explain this situation (maybe in the dialogue scenario of the council in Weldyn?). Sure, there are at least two possible explanations: 1) the Sceptre is not available at the moment (for various reasons); 2) they decide not to use the Sceptre (for various r...

Sceptre of Fire during the "Eastern Invasion"'s events
I have a question about the Sceptre of Fire (I searched in the forum whether someone already had asked similar questions but I have found nothing). :hmm: Resuming History: -the nucleus of it, the Ruby of Fire, is a powerful artifact of the Wesfolk people. It was discovered in the year 1 BW and taken...

Re: walking corpses
It would also be kind of weird for a unit that does 32 damage to only do 8. Horsemen can do an average of 36 damage at day, yet no one complains about them being zombified. Maybe the Yeti zombie could do a little more damage, say 10. It would be another unit, not a variation, then... strict...

Re: Planning a Khalifate campaign - Ideas needed!
The book is simply called Xenophone. Nitpick: the book's real name is Anabasis. Great idea! An Anabasis-like adventure is probably the best solution in order to integrate the Khalifate into the world we already know (i.e. Wesnoth and surroundings). Persia was for Xenophone what Wesnoth (I intended ...

Respect that you can draw so well, however..... [...]On a more serious note, I don't know if I should stick to this style for future portraits. Even with added lines, it'll still look very different from anything else I've made so far. We'll see... If you do stick to this style for future portraits...

Re: LordBob's random stuff : trolls !
I pop here only to express my amazement for all the awesomeness in this thread (not only here, of course).
The Great Troll is so detailed and accurate that it would fit as specific portait for campaigns (I think of Gruu or Grog). Sure, it fits perfectly also in the actual role.

Re: How to play - Drakes vs The Knalgan Alliance - Huumy
I think this depends on whether your opponent is going Dwarf heavy or Outlaw heavy. Skirmishers can be very helpful to hold back nighttime assaults by Poachers and Thieves. Their high defense values can also make them a cheap distraction while you focus your main force elsewhere. Very true. I think...

Re: Trolls
I ment that trolls were good and powerfull race(little same whit stones and rock what elves got whit forest) but after being attacked almost everyone in continent they have kinda corrupted leaving behind not much but big aggressive trolls dying by dwarfs guns or in the lines of the orcs. Pitty inde...

Re: Don't you think it's strange that the Elvish Fighter has
Which, as turin pointed out long ago, doesn't fit either. To rebel, they had to be under Wesnoth to begin with. They weren't. So they're at war with them, but they haven't rebelled. (The elves, at least) If you try to apply "rebels" in Konrads place, you may get the same results you did. ...
