Re: The Art of Magic

A few months back I was introduced to something called the Falling Sand java game, and its sequel. I like this.. quite interesting. In this game, you draw different 'elements' on the screen that work together in odd ways - Plant element grows in Water and is consumed by Fire, Water and Salt affect ...

The hippo is meant to be a really, weak pricy water unit, that sucks anywhere but water. I know, I know WINR.. but.. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hippopotamus. Hippos are highly territorial; a male hippo often marks his territory along a riverbank from which to draw in a harem of females, while def...

Agreed. And it looks so cool! I imagine this could be something the Free Goblins made.. perhaps they have troll allies?

True, but I surmised the rider was a dwarf-sized creature or something.

Ah well. Looks nice, anyway.

I´d have to say that I think they look a bit small for hippos. Well, the young hippo is okay.. but hippos are big and agressive creatures. Aside from humans they no real natural enemies once they reach maturity.

First of all, learn to spell. Or have the decency to take the time to spell your posts in a decent fashion.

Second, do you even know what a communist is? I doubt it. Anyway, stop insulting people.

Boats, my friend. Boats are the answer (if they did in fact live on that island and not join the drakes later).

Well.. yes. But that doesn't mean I'm opposed to giving traits to commanders in campaigns.

Er.. WINR? Or rather.. Wesnoth is not a mirror of the Medieval period. Nor is it based upon beliefs, myths and superstitions of people from that period.

That said, I also agree (subjectively) with Turin in that Chaos and EoM seem to fall outside the scope of the WoW. Especially Chaos.

All of the free units (Haldiel, Elrian, the thieves of Elensefar, the caged mermen, etc.) were given a trait due to popular clamoring for it. I personally think loyal is enough... but I gave in anyway. In general, I agree.. but I wouldn't mind making an exception for commanders. Not that I f...

Yes. well, Eleazar took some time off, didn't he? Shame we can't ask him about it.

Traits for commanders / other 'free' units?

I was wondering why commanders do not have traits. The same goes for 'free' units one can get in campaigns (like Delfador in HttT, for example). This is hardly a big issue.. and in campaigns the 'free' units are already advantaged in that they don't cost any upkeep. However, I'd prefer to see comman...

On team ellipses BWH -or- is the BWH topic up-to-date?

The BWH Thread Thread on team ellipses Okay, I was reading the BWH thread and saw a rather dated proposal on team ellipses being shown.. and there is no mention in both topics about making it optional. I took note of this because I prefer to play without ellipses. Of course, it hasn't been implemen...
