i use the standard filesystem on mac os, which is hfs+ or Mac OS Extended (Journaled). filenames are ok (like Die_Sümpfe_von_Esten) But the display in the saved file box should be "Die Su¨mpfe von Esten" (unless you applied a patch) i get "Die Su#mpfe von Esten" in the loa...

I guess the trouble is linked with the filesystem you're using. Check the names in the save directory and tell more about your filesystem. Theyre is a bug like this (but a bit different) on HFS (Mac OS X). Maybe the saved file should be in ASCII (UTF-7 encoded or something) i use the standard files...

Bug in Mac-version

i hate to say it. but there’s a (very small) bug in the mac-version. it was there already in 0.9.6. don’t know if i saw it earlier. if you attack an enemy without going near to it first (you stand some fields away and click on the enemy to go there and attack) and then kill that guy it...

joe, i am talking about attacking. and maybe this is not for wesnoth. but the wesnoth-engine looks so good, that you could just base some other games on it - just by changing the graphics and configs! i read the FPI-thread. and hey i am sorry to bring this up again. but the code for a player is easy...

just autosave to a NEW file at the BEGINNING of EACH turn. that gives you a chance to replay every turn if it went badly. or you can go back 10 turns if you made a big mistake at the beginning. i do that by hand now and sometimes plain forget it. i have to rewind two or more rounds then and that is ...
