OK, I went a bit too far. But, anybody noticed some kind of performance loss with this feature? Because I did. Not optimized drawing code, or is it just me?

EDIT: My opinion before reading the thread (i.e. first impression opinion): I don't like the current implementation in 1.3.4. Yesterday, when I built it and ran it for the first time (after been playing 1.3.2 for some time), I was really, really disappointed. It makes Wesnoth gameplay just look plai...

Damn, I did resize it heh. hey, it was worth a try :D Hehehehe, maybe a ban would be worth a try. :D :D :D Your dark sense of humor impresses me. But I must ask, why don't you edit or delete posts which contain material copied from unknown sources, instead of just waiting for them to sink down in t...

Currently I'm testing the following ads: - an ad for users of IE, which will try to get them to convert to Firefox - regular AdSense ads, but only for Windows users - the Google search bar. I'm using Windows XP with Internet Explorer 7 right now, as it's early and the computer room is not available...

Re: Great Mage suggestion

I agree with... f) a melee fire attack (e.g. fiery sword) Partially. I like the idea of an special melee attack, but not fire, and it should be designed in such a way it doesn't overpower the mage, for example: Magic staff: 8-2 special (magic), type (impact) Like the elves and mermaids develop their...

But why wesnoth.org and http://www.wesnoth.org use different cookies? I always use http://www.wesnoth.org anyways, but I'm kind of surprised to read about this issue. Shouldn't the browser just redirect wesnoth.org to http://www.wesnoth.org?

Do you have to be so...? Everyone has the right to have his/her first attempt at 3D modeling.

Re: On GNU licensing and such

I'm not using static linkage to closed source libraries right now, since I'm way far from Windows. Just in case, I just released a snapshot of early alpha development: http://shadowm.rewound.net/src/meta/meta-0.2.0-alpha-2007-07-02.tar.bz2 I don't want to spam you with progress updates anyway, I jus...

Not sure about that. DOSBox is an open source project and already has a donation button. Not much difference to Adsense ads for me. :P What about the Linux Kernel page, by the way? I think they've already been "exhausted". Have you ever noticed how slow and unstable is the 1.2 campaign ser...

i think i had a horsemen killed by a WC once and it didnt change into another WC but some horselike WC... Something like that, it was just a bit faster than the original i believe. It's a Walking Corpse, but the mounted variation. A similar intended effect is for Troll, Saurian, Wose, Merfolk and (...

You can configure Adblock to add http://www.wesnoth.org as an exception for which no ads shall be blocked.

Well, I don't really like games that are 3D without need (i.e. some recent sidescrollers). I do however like those that use pseudo-3D graphics (i.e. perspective). Battle for Wesnoh already satisfies that point, as all unit graphics have perspective. BTW, I'm not really sure about the uppercas...

Yes it is normal. In 1.2.x the keep type depends on the adjacent castle hexes, so you can't really choose one type in particular. IIRC you can only use the "set player startup position" button in the editor (sets hex value to 1, 2, etc.). However, IIRC too, you can put keeps with no playe...

Google Adsense's ads seem to be the only kind that never annoys me enough to smash the screen with a book. Go ahead, if this will improve Wesnoth development by using that money to buy resources such as hardware, graphical design software, etc. 8) And for those who use the almighty Firefox, there's ...
