Re: Puzzle challenges!
A famous Vulcanian would call that answer "fascinating"... But... .... wouldn't the liars return, even in case they did find the exit (and be lying that way, like, by acting false)? Off Topic: I remember once playing a game of Ageless Scrolling Survival, with its maintainer and several oth...

Re: Puzzle challenges!
I'd configure the teams in a different fashion than Deciton_Reven: Delfador solo, two groups of 3 recruits, one group of 2 recruits. Now he can deduct the correct way to go by logic from their answers, without any extra question (for names) needed. So, if in both groups of 3 all give the same answer...

Re: New Settlers era
Problem #1: economy matters more than anything.. How about (an option?) to limit the number of peasants/workers (but not the max number of total units?). That could push game experience to more weight on army and less on economy (if desired by players). E.g. limiting the total number of vils wouldn...

Re: New Settlers era
You're right, i think. I've heard a lot about git, from many people using it, but i never tried to use it myself so far. I am still at the very beginning of learning Lua/WML, you, shrieker1, seem to know a lot already, which makes me a little afraid. :) Just like enclave said before, i'll probably n...

Re: New Settlers era
Hello enclave and shrieker1. I am still dreaming my dream of a (New?) Settlers SP-campaign. And, yes, i somehow feel the need of restructuring the code, like shrieker1 does. I wouldn't like to start a third fork of New Settlers for my project, but maybe that will be necessary to do. Confusion (for p...

Re: Simple Core example?
In my understanding, the core and the add-ons are two seperated worlds, so there ain't such thing as a core add-on.Smok wrote:core addon
Either you are doing an (UMC) add-on, or programming for some (official mainline) core development.

1.13.8 recruit menu customizing
As gfgtdf recommended here https://forums.wesnoth.org/viewtopic.php?f=21&t=46322&start=15#p616541 I'm trying to use the new unit_preview_pane. Now some questions arise: Alignment and race are shown as small icons in the new recruit menu... unit_preview_pane.cfg says: [column] ...... [image] ...

Re: custom UI controls?
.. how would I access the new custom made panel? Would it be something like wesnoth.theme_items.my_custom_panel or completely different way? Simply do as in my 4th code snippet above, using function wesnoth.theme_items.foobar_status() ... And the second question is how do you apply your custom them...

Thanks for caring.
Anyway, this is a minor problem, and i can easily live with it.

Re: Wesnoth startup screen position
My personal experience:
Win7 and 1.12.6 --> window appears on a random place on screen, sometimes only a small part of it visible (rest out-of-bounds).
Win7 and 1.13.8 --> window appears exactly centered in the middle of the screen (independet of size).

Re: Wesnoth startup screen position
I think, that is the Windows doing that. If there are more windows opened, it puts the new one somewhere, where it can find a free place. So this cannot be solved by Wesnoth, and there are no options to set for this.
I recommend playing on "fullscreen" anyway (that, yes, is an option).
