Re: mk-edges tool still used?

I've removed it. Of course it's still in the SVN archive history if we ever need to call it back from the grave.

Noble titles of the Northern Alliance

This is information for translators of The Hammer Of Thursagan. I introduced the terms "Lord Protector" and "Lord Companion" into the world of this campaign. I was trying to come up with something more original than the usual King/Count/Duke. Mordante asked me to explain them and...

Your illustration is probably OK as it is

Don't worry too hard. Since there's no human figure or visible armor in the picture the iron rim doesn't clash with any of the other details. I just thought you'd like to know for future illustrations. You may find it interesting to know that period shields were often made much like modern plywood -...

Shield rims

Tossing aside art technicalia for a moment to dive into a different kind... Kitty, I noticed that you put an iron rims on the shield in your battlefield scene. While this is a common feature of reconstructions of Viking and Dark Ages shields in that shape, it's probably a mistake. In the archeologic...

Northland humans

At http://www.wesnoth.org/wiki/Barbarians I have posted a proposal for a new group of units intended to represent barbarian light infantry, archers, and light cavalry.

The initial use for these units would be as human troops for the Nortern Alliance.

Discuss...

Working on it now

I'm working on it now.

In that blackboard photo, is it just me or do Mordante's ears look rather elven?

Masked Thunderer

If you have time to do more, a masked Thunderer line would be more useful than a masked captain line.

Glowy bits

The glowy bits are easy enough to recolour if you think that's appropriate - i quite like the idea of them being white to show the hammer being a neutral or good tool being used to case an evil spell, but they might look better being the same colour as the spell's projectile graphics, i'm not sure....

The animation sprites look really good

Now that I'm able to see the animations for all three units in the Loremaster line, all I can say is...way cool! I suspect UMC authors are going to want these units mainlined in 1.5.

Elurin

I agree, yobbo's edit makes the face look less old and less angry, both of which are appropriate.

I'm wiring that edit and the witness frames in now.

I've wired it in. I think the facial lines may need to be backed off a bit more, though.

Pelias left-handed?

RE-EDIT: Pelias + sabre. i put it on the side that would allow him to draw it with the hand that's currently free, which makes sense to me =D Uh... IIRC, if you're drawing a sword with your right hand, it goes on the left side of your body, and vice-versa. So currently he appears to be left-handed,...
