Sadly it's just not enough in my current accommodation.

I'll continue recording if no one has any concerns with my lines for Erlornas. If you guys think I should redo any lines just let me know.

Re: Voiceover for An Orcish Incursion Development thread

Sadly my cupboard is not something I can climb inside. I'll find a way to pad the room a bit more.

Re: Voiceover for An Orcish Incursion Development thread

yes, i can hear the reverb but its very subtle (around 50ms). you can fix this easily by either shrouding yourself into a big towel (like place it on top of your head and the mic so no you got no wall reflections) or simply ask some one to hold it for you. Just be careful to not let the towel touch...

Re: Voiceover for An Orcish Incursion Development thread

i must apologise, there was a typo. I ment "the quality isn't wrong" as in it is not bad. about theuncertainman his voice samples, these are fantastic quality wise. thats all someone would ask for. I can imagine these would work even better if there would be a not so loud background music...

Re: Voiceover for An Orcish Incursion Development thread

Erlornas Scenario 1.7z I think that feedback earlier was a bit harsh, but I definitely support getting a better USB microphone. Even a Blue Snowball is a step-up from a headset. And if you can afford a bit more for a better mic, that's fantastic. I certainly don't regret grabbing my AT2020USB+. I'v...

Re: Roll call for voice acting of Descent into Darkness

I'd be happy to audition for Malin. I won't be able to record till next week, sadly.

Edit:
There didn't seem to be too many lines for Malin in scenario 1. How many scenarios are there?

I'll leave it up to you to decide who I should voice.
God I'm hungover.

Re: [mainline] Voice acting ?

Also, The_Gnat, I'm curious, what kind of method have you been using to eliminate breathing? Next campaign I'm going to start trying to use audio editing software on my recordings before sending them and also I will send straight to the repository. Noise Reduction on Audacity is a godsend. Apply a ...

Re: [mainline] Voice acting ?

And here's my first attempt at Mordak. I was going for an Eliphas the Inheritor kind of voice. ( You get points for trying right? :D

Let me know if you want it done a different way.

Re: [mainline] Voice acting ?

Hey guys,

First post of the day. Here's those quick lines for you @max_torch
I've compressed them and also left in a Wav file with all my takes of "That was not so hard". Just in case you want to use something else.

Re: [mainline] Voice acting ?

Let me know if you need anything else. :) Would you be interested in helping re-record the enemy leader Mordak in scenario 1's. As max_torch mentioned it would be good to have a greater voice differentiation, especially between the enemies and player units. speaker=Mordak message= _ "Worried a...

Re: [mainline] Voice acting ?

Can anyone teach us how to avoid or edit out the breathing sound when recording voiceover? And any other fancy computer editing of the voice? I don't even know what good software to use for recording and editing the voice I'm pretty sure a lot of the lines have to be rerecorded or edited or voiced ...
