Making sense of compiling 0.8.3...?
Hi Penguin, i'm very impressed that you've made sense of it all, Ihave become completely confused as to the purpose/place of getext - do I ditch all the SDL files and just create the link you've mentioned, or what? I assume that the getext 0.14.1 file is the right one? Sorry to be so stupid, but I a...

Yep, Schu's version is fine on 10.2.8 as well. My only very minor grouse with the presentation of the game for the Mac is that the docs have always been shown as blank sheets rather showing their file type, it might be nice to tart that up some time, but it's not exactly urgent. I'm sure I'm just on...

Ahh...apologies to Bear for not having tried a save with the Female Outlaw - she was already an 'Outlaw Princess' in the version I tried. On the other hand, what's with the ability to recall a 'Troll Whelp' in the very first scenario of the 'undead' campaign - when there should be nothing to recall?...

No picnic in the woods?
Hi Bear, I can't seem to replicate these problems with incompatible save files and recruiting using ctr+R. I've run games in both 10.2.8 and 10.3.5 without problems, old 0.8.1 saves converted without incident, and ctr-R recruiting just fine. Have you accidently got a corrupted file when downloading ...

I'm laid up with cracked ribs at the moment and I'm afraid that I am pretty much addicted to BfW, so I do play for hours on end, and also save/load frequently to try out different variations on tactics, and to 'push the odds'! I don't think I would have disk space problems, as I've still got about 1...

Mmm..interesting...?
Well, this is curious. I've had this exact same problem with my Mac in OS10.2.8 ever since I've been playing BfW, but I get enough playing time for it to be merely irritating. I thought it was either due to too many saves causing confusion in the save folder or, because my Mac uses a faster processo...

Test of the Clans
God's teeth, this is a manic scenario, even on normal! I'm on my third (or is it fourth?) attempt at a strategy to succeed at this one, and that's not allowing for all the reloads at various points, trying to at least survive an attack by the hordes of knights and horsemen and archers. Taking out th...

Hi Dave, sorry about the long delay, life intruded. I haven't really explored multiplayer much, the fault I've had is in the single-player game. There seems no other problems with the game other than the problems I have already described. I wish I had run it under developer's tools as well, but I ha...

Is this related?
Hi guys, I don't know if this isn't a completely different phenomenon, but I have been getting a curious hiccup where it stops saving games when you finish your turn, and you can't manually save either, and then a unit may become 'invisible', but the AI can see it even if you can't! This usually occ...
