Re: Bad manners?
Despite my poor attitude when a large difference forms between damage inflicted and damage taken, if it's one thing that I seem to find a pattern from hindsight, it is that the RNG usually seems to be positive for me if I have done something right during the game, and worse for me if I have made sev...

Re: Ladder Site Online...
I agree with eyerouge on the issue on players with false high scores, I mean, a quick check of the opponent, and a player should be able to take full advantage of the point-hoarder. Should be the responsibility of players to have a damn good look at an opponent's stats and games before they engage r...

Re: Need help for The Western Invasion.
You need to go back several levels, at least even all the way back to the second scenario. There is no other way, both leaders, if I recall correctly require passing through mountain hexes to get to, and horses/iron maulers cannot do this. Your loyal units are far too weak as well, and you will get ...

Re: Eyestalk
The best way I found to kill the eyestalk quickly in this scenario was to place minister hylas (your white mage, he was level 3 for me, and therefore a Mage of light with illuminate), with the elf druid who joins you right behind him. Due to the ranged attack of the eyestalk being arcane, plus illum...

Re: Scenario Review: Liberty 8 - Glory
1.8 has become rather disappointing from the last time I completed this (1) What difficulty level and version of Wesnoth have you played the scenario on? Hardest difficulty 1.8 (2) How difficult did you find the scenario? (1-10) 2. I will explain further down (3) How clear did you find the scenario ...

Re: Scenario Review: SotBE 18 - Northern Alliance
Bug in 1.8 stable. Al'Brock (blue ally to your side) doesn't even show up, as in his side is non-existent. Thanks, it's fixed now. You can fix it locally by removing the [store_unit] tag at lines 809-816 in Son_Of_The_Black_Eye/scenarios/17_Human_Horde.cfg, but you'll have to play that scenario aga...

I'd also like to see the number of villages bumped up to 12.
I say this because I would consider 5 villages generating income a possibly unfair handicap to drakes, rather if you wished to handicap them somewhat, add some mushroom hexes to reduce their mobility somewhat.

http://forums.wesnoth.org/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=28444 Rigor and Quetzalcoatl made a suggestion regarding the ladder which I think deserves to be discussed here: Namely, to amend the ladder rules to enforce the usage of the "Random Map"-addon made by grrr. An inherent weakness of a comp...

Problem with 1.8, keep getting Disconnected
As the title says, I keep getting disconnected. The only setting I changed from 1.8 was the ping to be set to 5 seconds, because I was sick of not knowing If I had disconnected or not. My internet dropped out, so after it came back on I tried to rejoin my game, but after only a few seconds each time...

Re: How to Play: Loyalists vs. Undead
Firstly, only cavalry have the 20% cold resist (and mermen) the horseman does not have cold resist. Secondly, I agree with caphriel on the cavalry. Being able to outrun and outmaneuver the slow undead is a great advantage to have, whether it's threatening villages, creating far spread traps to squas...

Re: The Point of Goblins?
Just in response to your post csparrow, but dim goblins are easily the best as dim is almost not a penalty at all for goblins. Asides from the fact many die unfortunately due to their HP, almost the only reason they will ever level is if they are the lucky beneficiaries of 2 kills. with 13xp non-dim...

Re: DID- A Haunting In Winter
I would say recruit almost exclusively ghosts for this scenario, maybe recall a ghoul, or if you have one, a blood bat as the bladed damage can be useful here too. generally it takes a while for the ghost to rebel, by which case you can have the bandit leader dead, and a level ghost or 2 if lucky. a...

Re: Hulavuta's Drake Strategy Guide
while your guide does point out some good ideas hulavuta, I think there are a few detable issues within it. Firstly, orc archers also have pierce as well as a fire attack, so you may wish to drop that idea, attacking it with a burner. It would also be more preferable to attack a mage with a melee un...

Re: 2v2 replays archive
Well there were few non-survival, non-isar games going, saw a 2 vs 2 on morituri open, and joined. It was Mythological P1 (random orcs), me P2 (random knalgans), magmallion P3 (UD, picked) and cookiebite P4 (UD random) well given I was knalgans, I decided to give HODOR a go (cheated a bit due to stu...
