Re: My images ;)

i think that the 1. is better, because the armor has the same contrast and outline as the rest of the unit. the 2. armor is too shady compared to the rest of the sprite. it looks like it it is floating in front of the unit. but when you give the 2. armor a stronger outline, it will become better tha...

Re: Wesnoth 10 years from now

1) the zoom feature will finally work correctly, because it will use the same technique that gimp uses for zooming. there will be more mainline campaigns. 2D snes-like graphics will be so retro that they are much cooler than 3D graphics. 2) there will be 2 default eras. one before and one after the ...

Re: My images ;)

your frankensteins look really good! I can't believe that this is your first try , youe were so creative. (exept the guy with the silver armor and the yellow banner: his breast and shoulders are too large, he looks like He-Man.) I can't rate your self-drawn sprite, because I never tried that...

Re: [Cosmetic] Battle Scenes

since qwerty used the fire emblem animations as an example i guess it will be used for every battle. so the concept could be the following: when a unit attacks another unit a "battle window" will pop up. the window consists of two "frames" next to each other, displaying the terra...

Re: A Suggestion for Leadership.

i apologize for "breaking" your idea, it was not intended this way. from what you wrote so far, i figured that you wanted to replace the leutenant with konrad, because he is weak. :hmm: i read the post aggain to find out what you meant and i guess its this: your idea was to enhance ...

Re: A Suggestion for Leadership.

İ'm waiting other suggestions about this from other players. :geek: here i go: İ just dont wanna see weak units with leadership ability. :eng: to balance the bonus that is granted by leadership, the unit itself has to recieve an equal malus. only hero units for campaigns are allowed to be powerful ...

Re: Who was the Greatest player to ever play BfW?

i guess those who play expert level scenarios on hardest difficulty may have that skill. but if such a person would really exist, i think he/she would be so professional that he/she would not post it on the forum to recieve reward or aknowledgement, because he/she is so gifted that this kind of popu...

Re: Javelineer power ?

for my understanding, the javeliner is more an archer than a fighter. he has 40% pierce resistance, like the pikeman, so you could compare them for their usage. the pikeman is a melee fighter and compared to that, the javeliner seems like a rangend fighter. archers usually have less hp than fighters...

Re: How did you find out about Wesnoth?

when my father discovered linux, we all had Open Suse 10.2 as additional system to our old windows xp. because linux was much more comfortable than windows we used it as our main system. one day my father searched the package list for interesting software and installed BfW 1.2.6, because he knew tha...
