I know about the vertical-placement issue, if I were planning to use Cthulhu in-game there are other changes needed also (note the current lack of a shadow). I didn't spot the non-transparent white bits though, thanks for pointing that out! I thought the wings were wrong too, I don't know how to fix...

When a unit with {ABILITY_UNDRAINABLE} fights a unit with a drain attack, the undrainable unit temporarily gains not_living=yes, then loses it after the fight. I believe you can include traits in a unit's .cfg file, in which case all units of that type, regardless of where they come from will have the trait.
You can also use [modify_unit] to assign traits.

Wraiths are probably useful in more situation, but shadows are so much cooler! It's creepy, it lurks in dark corners, you can't see it till you trip over it, and it's got big claws..... it's the Bogeyman! Once you get two or three of them, they're excellent for picking off healers and ranged special...

Yep, hide behind water or mountains and hop over when you see a vulnerable target. The non-flying Drake line (Clasher? Was the affected undead unit stood next to the Mage of Light? MoL has the Illuminate ability, which (if I'm reading the code correctly) affects him as well as adjacent units. Thanks battlestar, it unzipped properly this time (mostly - I still have only .ds_stores in the image folders, but I don't need the images right now so it isn't a problem) first use [object] to counter the spell effects, then delete all spell-related [object] tags from the unit to keep things clean....
