Re: Criticism Request
Hi Kerth, I appreciate you taking this on. Your sprite is encouraging :) On the roots, I say keep the same shape because if they looked like real cactus roots, they would never be able to get anywhere; they're long and stringy. However, I would make them more brown. Remember woses are closer to anim...

Re: What are you reading right now?
Nothing. I'm looking for an author, but I fogot his name... He is a fantasy author, but not really mainstream Tolkein style stuff, writes fantasy which could be set in "the real world" kind of like Clive Barker without the over the top sex and gore. Brian Stableford; google is your friend...

Re: WSAS: Milestone Three
I might have completely missed something, but why is the Hurrican Drake the only one of it's kind that only flies in transit?

Re: The Sojournings of Grog (1.6)
I have an half idea about this scenario: Grog is sending messengers to Kaleh. But, what are the most appropriate units available to Grog for doing this? Gryphons. So it could be a scenario where Jaash is leader, and can recruit only gryphons rider. Considering that we are in a desert, I propose to ...

Re: SURVEY: A (Hopefully) More Accurate Popularity Contest
Can't...resist... Campaigns What is your most favorite mainline campaign? Why? UtBS I think. A good story and very well written. The most original campaign as well, changing objectives and changing strategies in a scenario is always welcome. I really liked The South Guard as well, it is supposed to ...

Re: Fuxing a few holes - Wesnoth (and Irdya) history
There's a number of problems with the journey map for TRoW. When I played it on 1.4 the tracking map didn't work properly. Now the Ka'lian (elvish council) is in the middle of the Grey Woods, when is should be in Wesmere, but I thought that had already been fixed. The scenario for The Dragon doesn't...

Re: Undead campaign: Descent into Darkness
It's a wiki, so you're free to change that, just as long as you register. Someone is revising all the walkthroughs anyway, lotsofphil I think. I'm sure nobody would mind people updating the wiki

Re: The Sojournings of Grog (1.6)
You can ally with either the dwarves or trolls in UtBS. The whole idea of the campaign has to create a mirror universe. In the future, trolls have invented hats, they're clever like that. :P I'll post an update for the campaign after I figure out why the server doesn't give me the option to update i...

Re: TSG Big Map
The fort I was talking about was in the wrong place, as it turns out. I was referring to the one that is now where 8e occurs. I won't move the river fort where Sir Gerrick appears because the path leading to it is in the main map so the path would lead to nowhere if I put the fort closer to the rive...

Re: TSG Big Map
We don't have to be overly accurate in the details of how far they can travel, as long as it looks right. Personally I think a scale is quite useful for that. The manual says that fort Tahn controls access across the R.Aethen, which seems odd because it looks quite far away from the river. The manua...

Re: TSG Big Map
It's also worth mentioning that the South Guard was written before there was any canonised geography AFAIK, or at least something very different from now. The black river was originally the great river. I'm all for revising the geography of the far north, although I suppose it doesn't help that I ha...

Re: TSG Big Map
Rivers running parallel to the coastline are a rarity, even when they're as far away from the coast as in your map. The area in question for me is analogous to Milford Haven or this area of the Plymouth Sound (I can see my house in that map =D) . Basically the river is a ria/drowned river valley, wh...

I downloaded Python and pygtk and the same thing happens. I'm only guessing, but shouldn't pygtk come with the pygtk library? I'm using a mac 10.5.7 if that makes any difference.

Re: Heir To The Throne - End game victory screen is wordy
Is it necessary to say both 'defined' and 'minimum'? It seems a bit excessive to me.
Maybe this:
Maybe this:
You will start the next scenario with X gold more than the minimum starting gold.
