Freeciv CVS and 2.0beta can do hex, but stable 1.14.x can't.

EDIT: The engine supports it, but the tileset is (currently) a separate download.

Freeciv in hex mode uses 7,8,9,1,2,3 on the keypad and it works pretty well.

This one seems to be causing some confusion. I presume you mean "make it harder to cheat" not "make it harder to mod" :?

IMHO that is an excellent way to do it.

Avoiding the term 'binaries' will save some people some confusion.

And putting the binaries first is good because people who aren't sure which to download will look at the top first.

I'm running Wesnoth 0.8.1 on XP. Initially it didnt show up at all :( I renamed it to Nine_Forts and it did. It seems XP (or 0.8.1) doesn't like spaces in filenames :roll:

The map looks cool. I haven't tried playing it yet

Hi, I'm a new player. I recently downloaded 0.8.1 First, great game. I'm really enjoying it. This might not count for much since I havent tried the prevoius movement style, but I think this feature is good. It just feels right. I think it makes sense to see fx a unit that moves slowly on water actua...
