I just finished the third scenario in this campaign and I must say it's pretty cool. Although the lack of a unit for the leader is somewhat disturbing [Is this just me? There's no icon or image for the leader, so when he's highlighted it's only the hex that he is in. Presumably you haven't made the ...

Oh...I'm not much of a fan of this idea; if I beat a human player I'm not interested in finishing off some AI units. I'd be interested in the possibility of that player being able to make a comeback though, i.e. the human would continue playing. Not against the possibility of it existing, but I woul...

I agree, this campaign is excellent so far (haven't finished yet). I think it has a nice variety of scenarios and some very cool RPG elements. Also, I must say that the character portraits are really amazing. They add a lot of flavor to the game. I'm not sure who did them, but whoever it is deserves...

I think this new Shadow looks quite good. I prefer it to the old one because it is in a syle similar to the rest of the Ghost line. I like the blue coloring as well. Perhaps bigger claws and/or positioning them so that the claws hang down (as in he's ready to slash/grab in an up-down motion) might b...

Actually this is a very annoying part of observing. In fact I'll never observe a game that's more than 5 or 6 turns because it's such a pain to wait and watch the game progress. But, often times I am interested in checking out a game that might be a 20-turn deep 2v2 battle. Couldn't there be an opti...

Note that I respect silene's sentiment about unit differentiation. One possibility would be giving it the sideways perspective of the marshal's sword. Another is simply removing it. I like the idea of the ranger/avenger each having a sword, as they are equally (sometimes better) skilled at melee, b...

But I'm trying to explain why a unit with otherwise identical stats with both ranged and melee attacks has no advantages over a unit with a single stronger melee attack. Well, that is certainly false, because it has at least one advantage, which is that it can take less damage when killing a unit i...

no1.. Your example is terrible flawed because, like I already pointed out 30 comments or so ago, individually elf fighters are better than grunts, they do more damage, the cost more gold, they have better defense etc etc. Match elves up to dwarvish fighters and you get a much different story. Fine,...
