Re: Cuttle Fish

DISCLAIMER : I know, I just ignored all those nice tips about how to improve but... I'm stuck with no tablet nor scanner and wanted to try colouring it. I'll try to fix the line art tomorrow. Meanwhile I checke how it looks at portrait scale. (Included gimp file too just in case my work load "abduc...

Cuttle Fish

I got a very productive lunch break.. I was able to pencil and ink this nice cuttlefish portrait start, still need some clearing and a bit more tentacle detail at the bottom but no time nor tools at hand here.
I have a larger image available if anyone wants to improve or colour it.

Re: Mermen: Fighter Portrait

Armor, especially medieval or earlier metal armor just isn't made like that. It would be very costly in time and money to make for no practical purpose whatsoever, not to mention that fact that it would be impossible to move in such a thing, since it would be molded exactly to muscles in one positi...

Re: trying my hand

Really nice! Only 2 minor issues: Your hatchet handle joins the blade in a weak-looking way for so powerful-looking weapon, maybe you should make it like an axe (hole in the metal, wood handle goes in) or like in really large knifes (metal bit sandwiched between 2 wood parts). I could be wrong If th...

Re: Outlaws!

The tiny belt pouches trouble me a bit. It would be quite difficult to operate them in a position where they can be hardly seen, with the gloves on and all. That, and what could he possibly be carrying in them? One poison pill in each? A different kind of Zippo for each day of the week No gloves fo...

Re: Icons to define a units traits and resistances

The jaw looking one under leadership one looks exactly like an icon from a comercial game, except I can't remember which one exactly. I do know that icon though, and whether coincidentally or not, it looks identical. The only other possibility is if it's a smaller version of one already used in Wes...

Neat. On an unrelated note, anyone want to make a dragon's tail? A colouring and texture a bit similar to that of the drake slam icon would probably work nicely (in case you need ideas). I did a better one some time ago ht...

Good attack icons... I think that with a ligth bluish hue it could be perfect for my Ice Crab and Ice Shell (Neo based) elementals :-)
This is a message for those using them in custom eras ... i.e. ... s-EOM.html

Brass lantern

I tried to create another non-weapon item icon.
The image still needs a bit of work... maybe the lamp should turned on.
I added the gimp file to if anyone likes to try to finish it.

Chainmail item icon

I had this one started some time ago...
It still needs some work to improve it so I also added the original gimp file and a larger png.

PS: Maybe it could be used in another place too

Yes, the 1st generation sprites were just ripoffs. That was never hidden. Go search the forum or google for my old geocities page (circa 0.3 or so.. around 3 or 4 years ago). Later, when things got bigger, I tried to redid them. i.e Wolves got deleted and redraw fully... but the problem was that at ...
