2. Social responsibility I am aware of that this could be countered with, it's just a game, so why bother. But I say, that you allready bother on how BfW affects it's users (there is a no blood policy) and wheter you like it or not people are affected by these small things. As the system is now we ...

We're built on bilateral symmetry, even down to the DNA level. Since even asymmetric organisms share this fundamental DNA structure, you can assume that either Wesnoth is the same way or that they didn't evolve from a single source. A trilateral organism with three strands per DNA chain might need t...

The Highwayman has an [advancefrom] tag. Does it mean that a bandit will advance to highwayman even if bandit configuration does not set the advanceto parameter ? Good ! :D Have you experienced problems advancing the Outlaw? No, as I am still using the old bandit file that I described. I will remov...

tsr, you are 100% correct. I simply used PingPang's word in the context I believe he meant it and was parroting it back to him. Gender's obviously wouldn't have necessarily different appearances, other than parhaps how they carry themselves and other things of that quality. As far as my understandi...

Re: Concerning problems when starting-up

In linux, you don't need a message at all, because it all goes to the console anyway (unless an OS packager changed that). I, for one, don't launch Wesnoth from the console, so I wouldn't see an error outputed there. I imagine that's the case for a lot of people using a modern Linux desktop. It see...

Re: Kill um all!

Plus, it would fun! I'm really developing a preference for chaotic units, it would fit my style of play perfectly. Then change the campaign to suit your tastes (and publish it on the campaign server if you want to). I'm not rewriting it for everybody. Edit: A version of HTTT with a "morality-challe...

Re: Directional WML;extended line of sight

Here comes two questions from a total newbie WML-tinker: I have not really struggled for long with these problems, but thought to fish for more experienced input before I dig myself too deep in. Any comments are welcomed, and I will post here if I make any progress on my own. 1) Is there some easy ...

Maybe a low-tech readme would serve the same purpose without requiring a change to the code. The code already has some OS-specific code in it, but I assume they want to keep it to a minimum, and I'm mostly thinking of situations where some OS might have a non-standard location for error output and n...

Re: Concerning problems when starting-up

This is an idea that I got last time Wesnoth's crashed during the start-up : I think that when such a thing happens, an error message should be displayed, either in a normal window or in a console window. Of course, computer-litterate people know that you can find the error message in the stderr.tx...

Re: Can't beat this level

It from the campaign under the burning sun. I don' t remember the name of the level, but its where you are underground, and you need to go through this lava chamber and beat the trolls i think. i can't get there in time. And when i do, the lava hs so udderly destroyed my forces that all the level 2...
