Re: "The fellowship of the Clay" Humans gaining ground stor

No need to apologize, the point was that making the objectives clearer(e.g. Harriet dumps the rock, Lorelei blasts the dam BEfore engaging) would be helpful, so my suggestion is just change the objectives. BTW, I tried that, i.e. surround the draug keep but do not engage until the lava is blocked an...

Re: "The fellowship of the Clay" Humans gaining ground stor

Don't you prefer to have this explained IN The campaign scenario rather than in the forums?

Re: "The fellowship of the Clay" Humans gaining ground stor

Thanks for the info, even though how is one supposed to guess that? Anyway, even with that hint, blocking the lava and Lorelei blowing up the dam with all enemies dead, there is no win and no objective. Is one supposed to just sit there and something will happen?

Re: "The fellowship of the Clay" Humans gaining ground stor

Am I missing something or is there a bug in the scenario where Feyndwarf is supposed to block the lava with the rock and lorelei the dam? Because Feyndwarf complains that the rock won't move and Lorelei also is unable to blow up anything.
P.S. That is both before and after all baddies are defeated

Re: The Unstoppable Legion is back!

After disposing of the first baddie and earning a keep, I split the army in 3: one to hold the north, one to hold east and 3 units plus Eridith to take out the south(6 o clock). After finishing off the southernmost leader of course Eridith and co could assist other fronts, but the major contribution...

Re: The Unstoppable Legion is back!

First, congratulations on a great campaign -which is shaping up even better than expected. Great plot, interesting twists, keeps the tension throughout. So after finishing the Wrath of the stone on hard, here is some feedback: 1) I was extremely impressed with wrath of the stone. When cleaning up th...

Re: The Unstoppable Legion is back!

Great, the more, the better-though that's not the prevailing view. After all, Victor has to write some chapters too in the book

Actually do not hold the island at all costs. You can also use the small forest and village on the west bank to fight; the key is recruit two scouts and grab all villages so you have some income and keep sending troops down. Kalenz will have to keep recruiting.

I'd say finish the campaign first, then rework what you need. How many more scenaria are there?

Re: The Unstoppable Legion is back!

btw, the silent siege is nice, but kind of a chancy one. SUre, you silently encircle the village and then charge and you have to break through in 2 -3 turns tops and kill the leader, before the damn cultists and other can escape. This can be chancy, since you do not have the gold to leave troops beh...

Re: The Unstoppable Legion is back!

It probably should not be. I have a vague recollection of winning when you beat the second leader, which rhymes with the 'escape' view. I like to have more fun killing bad guys, so killing both is better; it's just an issue of not staying dead that bothers me

Re: The Unstoppable Legion is back!

This is a nice campaign, I remember playing it eons ago too bad it was never completed. I think the last scenario I played was the orc battle after the last stand. This time I replayed it(on hard as last time) pretty fast up till Mines of Alsok, where I did not remember the strategy I had used; From...

Re: V1.9/1.10 - 07 - Elves' Last Stand

Although in some cases the dwarves do play a role, (if the northern front is still a tossup), in the vast majority of cases the fight is decided by then. This is intentional and designed to further fuell Landar's fury.

Re: V1.9/1.10 - 02 - Hostile Mountains

One of the tricks when designing this scenario was to entice the trolls to step on dwarvish land, for example by placing an expendable unit where it is easiest attacked from dwarvish land(i.e. in the water); but the AI has changed a lot since then, so I 'm not sure this can be guaranteed to work

Re: Scenario 20: Prince of Wesnoth

It is somewhat unsatisfying not being able to kill him here, he was trespassing after all! Unsatisfying for whom? Kalenz would much rather he did not have to deal with that jerk, but he does. Delfador is still in the King's service, who does not want to start a war with the elfs, but that does not ...
