No offense Sombra, but thats the strategy you and Nordmann play; it has weaknesses and it can be countered. I realized that fairly early on the first game we played the 2v2 tournment, but by that point I didn't have the units to make it. In the second game I implemented strategies to counteract it,...

This may be one of the weak points in Wesnoth. IMO in makes little sense to have a vision range equal to the number of movements. I think this is the only games where that happens. This provokes that a garrison unit becomes a good scout just by moving half of its movements and going back to the vill...

Some stupid thought.
Although maybe this should be called headless corpse, or maybe another option of upgrading into lvl1 unit, with only ranged attack... the animation could be funny.

On Infested caves, has this been playtested on hard? There is a walkthrough and Eleazar outlined a strategy, but I do not think it works on hard. I also tried this, but after I clear the north trolls, there is a door with just more undead.... I have no problem holding north and south with 3-4 rotat...

In the hardest level only first 2 levels offer a bit of challenge. The others are very easy.

Spartan warriors were heavily armoured. Dont take as reality the artistic licenses of a comic o rly? Why do you put me a picture of a phalanx? Spartan warriors werent like phalanx, although they did use similar tactics. The Spartans were the only army in Greece to buy the arms and armour for their ...

The only problem is when you recruit all grunts, and then you see your opponent is playing undead or drakes. Against drakes it isnt too bad because when his first attack comes at the second dawn, you'll have backup with goblins/archers/assassins, and you can kill his scout units easily at night.(sa...

I agree with zookeper. I find it annoying to have around 40 units on the screen and see always some of them doing senseless moving. Although it would be nice having animations like that one of WC each 10 minutes, and not every unit should have an animation.

I enjoyed a lot the introduction. But I am currently in second level and the slowness of the game is really frustrating. I need between 10-20 seconds to be able to move a unit. I attach a savegame to check if this happens only to me. The obvious approach to me was to fb and let trolls and undead fig...

I noticed the same than multilis. I increased the number of turns and allowed victory by killing enemies in order to pass 'Gathering materials' since i dont knwo enough wml to arrange it and now I changed the conditions in 'towards the caves'. Maybe the maps shortened with the new changes in map for...

I agree they are underused, and I buy them only on specific situations. Giving them skirmisher may overpower them. Maybe increasing from 4 MP to 5 or increasing the HP to 20 would be nice.

Well said, guy who is obviously not a noob. Any h4xor will tell you that it is better to crush your enemy first (with the army that you have), and then increase the size of your military later. Come to think of it, Rumsfeld would be as good at Wesnoth as he is in reality. As Patton said, a good pla...
