Re: How to avoid stalemates?

You're not "keeping" a light screen. You're forming a light screen briefly for a turn or two in advance of hitting the enemy with everything you've got forming up behind that screen. A money-conserving defense won't have enough units to do much to the screening units--and if they try, you've got th...

Re: How to avoid stalemates?

If you suspect your opponent is hoarding money in a mirror match (particularly a pure lawful/pure chaotic mirror), try to throw everything possible at one side of the map. Time isn't working against your attacks as much as usual, so you can afford to take some risks that would be very dangerous oth...

Re: HTTT Cliffs of Thoria

You should recruit like 60% mermen (dont bother with initiates, they are useless, except for the priestess that you can recall as it can heal your units) and 40% gryphons, and recall the sylph and the shide, that will be crucial in the assaults. By turn 4/5 you should have destroyed the first 2 outp...

Re: Stuck on Delfador's Memoirs: The Return of Trouble

This scenario is definitely quite hard. I was able to survive until turn 31 in the hardest level of difficulty (v 1.5.6.), but my elvish ally didn't, and I still have to kill enemy leaders that keep spawning units like crazy.

Re: Scenario Review - EI: The Outpost

(1) Hard on 1.4.7 (2) 10. It is very luck reliant, probably even with the right strategy. (3) Clear enough (4) Clear and interesting (5) It is not possible to win the first time due to not knowing the second objective (the obvious strategy when you are facing an army with a strength of 1 to 5 is run...

You can have a lvl 0 evolving into lvl 0.
I think you can have lvl -1
You can redefine the whole branch: lvl 0 will be lvl1 and so on.

Dragonslayer: Keep trying. Instead of wasting time talking, just play. This game keeps being rebalanced forever and devs keep saying that it is already balanced, but that is their duty. If they changed something just because someone says it is unbalanced it would be crazy.

Do you actually need this ability?
I mean, if he is slow he cant see too much, and if he cant fight you wont send it alone.
If the problem is the first turn, just place it behind your units.

I've attached an example of a game that I've found very interesting and quite dynamic. However my opponent's opinion was rather the opposite I think, since he said that I've played too defensive. Have a look and please tell me what you think. I think that is an example of how not to play the game f...
