Re: Have the campaigns gotten easier?

All campaigns that use default AI were balanced with an AI that expanded quickly and threw everything at you. Now the AI is scared to expand, this causes that players economy is much better than AI economy, when it should be the other way around. And since it is still unable to attack properly, the ...

That is because a hero beating a fighter is like a 10 year old beating up a 6 year old.

Re: Announcing Battle for Wesnoth ... the action game!

You know that someone who does a late joke is called fool. So is someone who does not realize that different users live in different time zones.... I'm wondering why you quote me. I quoted a GMT time thus the maximum I could expect was 12 hours delay, which is still later than 12pm, therefor...

Re: Invasion from the Unknown (1.11.1.1) for Wesnoth 1.6 RC1+

The matrix cores are rather annoying. Some early game text suggests that killing them stops the Saxthal from spawning, ... I don't remember having put that in any dialogue, but there is some WML that was supposed to be a hidden feature that was afterwards broken. I never got around to fix it, so th...

Re: Cross-genre games.

Gorky17 is an interesting cross-genre game imo.

There was also another one which was a mixture of strategy and action, in which you controlled one ship at a time. I dont remember the name, but it was something like Dark waters.

Where can we download and check the campaign?
What you described atm is ok. I do not understand why people complain about balance without having played it: 12 units vs 6 skeletons may be fairly easy.

Re: Armor

Pikemen armour has spikes/deflectors that decrease the speed and change the penetration angle of incoming arrows/pikes. This kind of protection is useless against attacks where a weapon is applied over a zone of the armour for a prolonged time, such as would happens with swords or maces.

Re: 2 ways to reduce randomness

- Chance to hit: A global "chance counter" starts at 0. Every time an attack is performed, the percentage to hit is added to the counter. If the counter reaches 100 or above, the attack succeeds and 100 is subtracted from the counter. Otherwise, the attack fails. Predicting what to attack with whic...

Re: Princess of Wesnoth with 100 gold

Perhaps your problem starts with Elensefar? You should start Crossroads with about 400 gold (probably you need to spend around 200 in that scenario) and Princess of W with around 300.

It only breaks in scenario 12 if you find humans in their turn. If you find them in your turn it is corrrect.

Re: How to avoid stalemates?

Usually when these situations happen, both players have big armies, thus making several units temporarily useless. If the enemy does not attack you, it probably means he is also saving money. If you attack thinking that money will win you the battle you may be making a huge mistake, because in the a...
