### Re: Puzzle challenges!

About the poisoned wine... Hehe... I got the answer! Just, simplify it: 500 barrels/2 testers = 250 barrels/tester Both testers should drink 250 barrels (obviusly only some wine, no all the wine in the barrel) in 48 hours, but only 24 of these are useful to drink and all the 48 hours are useful for ...

### Re: Puzzle challenges!

Whoa! You are so clever. Ravana, ElderofZion and Inky's answer were correct. Honestly, I prefer Inky's solution, is better explained, but Ravana posted the answer first, so... let's say that Ravana won.
Do you know other puzzles, Ravana?

Yes, Ephraim's answer and reasoning is correct! Nice! 8) Hurray! Well, here goes the next one: The two sages and the evil king: "Two sages of a town were imprisoned by an evil king. In order to test the intelligence of the sages, he locked them in cells separated from a tower: one looked eastward a...

### Re: Puzzle challenges!

Thinking about Inky's hint... If there were just two dragons, they will think: "the other one has green eyes, so I have not reason to worry, he will turn to stone next dawn". And, the next dawn, the other dragon won't be petrified, because he thinked the same that the other one. Then, at the second ...

### Re: Puzzle challenges!

Good guesses, but both incorrect. The dragons are not color blind ( like I said, good guess though). Also, I mentioned that they never discuss their eye color, and that holds true even after the sailor's statement. If you want a hint, I can give one that helps but doesn't give it away complet...

### Re: Puzzle challenges!

Maybe... Every dragon wanted to check if he had green-eyes, and asked the other ones for it, so... they turned to stone. But there is a problem in this answer: "at least one has..." this mean that... yes: it's sure that one had green eyes, but they think: "maybe there are more than one of us that ha...

### Re: Puzzle challenges!

Whoa  ! You're right. That's the correct answer. How did you find it? (Maybe via uncle Google? ) I wish :P To be honest, I read about this puzzle several years ago, so I already knew it. However, in that version there weren't hourglasses or inscriptions, there was just a scale (I think...

### Re: Puzzle challenges!

I'd do the following steps: Fill the 3-units bowl from the fountain Pour these three units of water in the 5-units bowl Fill again the 3-units bowl from the fountain Pour water from the 3-units bowl into the 5-units bowl until it's filled. Now the 3-units bowl contains just one unit of water Pour t...

### Re: The holy water puzzle

The holy water: You enter a small square room. In front of you, stands an imposing solid stone door that is closed. To your left, there is a fountain from where holy water flows. To your right you see a kind of large hourglass (sand clock), only without sand and with the lid open. Also note that th...

### Re: A very difficult puzzle

You seem to be ignoring the past couple posts. Also, changing rules isn't solving the problem it's just creating a slightly different one. I'm not an expert on codes... so I don't understand a great part of the code explained by Ravana. I just try the methods that are available for my knowledge, ju...

### Re: A very difficult puzzle

I found another way to solve the problem. Just change the rule: - If you turn on the center one, it turns on the right line and the top center one too. - If you turn off the center one, those on the left line and the bottom center turn on. For this one: - If you turn on the center one, it turns on t...

### Re: A very difficult puzzle

Well, I thought that by "the top center one" you mean top center line, though, now that I think about that it leads to feedback, but well, it seems that Ravana solved it. I want to make this puzzle very difficult to solve, and that it hasn't got 32 possible answer. A puzzle that makes the person th...
