Re: Ephraim's WML questions

I have been working on that, and I've got this: [event] name=start [object] [filter] canrecruit=no [/filter] {TELEPORT_EFFECT_OBJECT} [/object] [/event] [event] name=moveto first_time_only=no [filter] [filter_location] x,y=49,51 [/filter_location] [/filter] [sound] name=lightning.ogg [/sound] [anima...

Ephraim's WML questions

Hello! I was working on a map with some magic tiles that teleport you to a nother place (just a moveto with teleport unit and a lightning sound). But, I was thinking so hard and I realized that if I add an animation to this magic event, it will be better. The idea is: when a unit enters in the hex, ...

Re: Wesnoth calendar?

I like astrology, so I like this theme. [...] The moon orbits around the Mass Center of the Earth that, due to the spherical shape of the Earth, is at its center. I suppose you mean 'astronomy' :) To be pedantic, the exact sentence would be that the Moon and Earth orbit around their center of mass,...

Re: Wesnoth calendar?

I can't figure out what DE stands for, though? Unless it's "Dark Era", but that seems too cliche... >_> I don’t remember. DE means "During the Empire". I like astrology, so I like this theme. There can be two options: First, we should know that every body attracts another body in proportion to its ...

Re: After the Storm 0.9.17 [Wesnoth 1.12]

Finally I finished the campaign and its prequel Invasion from the Unknown and are excellent: the proof that Wesnoth is an incredible game, although many people think it is obsolete. This campaign offers a great diversity of maps and scenarios, be they of the type great dungeons, final battles, etc. ...

Re: Puzzle challenges!

One of my friends took a shot at it and this was his answer: Okay this time I got it for real. The password isn't half of the number the guard gives you. The sum of all of the numbers you say must be one less than the sum of all the numbers he says. This includes homophones. When addressing the kni...

Re: Puzzle challenges!

I mean, unless it's accidental, the guard says things in a very odd way, which would lead me to believe it's the structure of the spy's sentence that's wrong. I couldn't tell you how it wrong though so I haven't tried. And if it's not improper structure you've got me. Well unless it's the really we...

Re: Scenario Practice - Problem with Unit Movements

The only way to do it us with WML (coding). If you are using the map editor with units, it won't work.
If you know about WML, just put "guardian=yes" inside the unit tag.

Really? Well... it seems it is time to give a hint... Caladbolg was very near from the answer.

Re: Puzzle challenges!

Here's my reasoning: People can only enter when they give the correct password. Therefore, their last lines should contain the password. If we look at the last lines of people A and B, the only thing that they have in common is that they mention some numbers. Now, all of the dialogues are a bit str...

Zap-Zarap wrote:If the spy'd have answered: "This one is the best of the four cities, i've been trading in.", then he would still be alive, right?
If the guard killed him (and yes, the guard killed him) that means the spy said something wrong.

Re: Puzzle challenges!

The spy: A spy wants to enter the great bastion of Elensefar. However, because it is well-walled and well defended, there is only one way to get in: telling the guards the password. The spy hid behind a large rock, and saw a knight on a horse. He was dressed with a fancy steel armor and a layer of ...
